Hi Okies! Stimpy - thanks for the special inquiry into my day - I did the grocery shopping at Wally World...so that took forever, but the good part happened when I got home to find Jack the Electrician Man installing electric in the hen house. I want to put a light in there on a timer to hopefully motivate them to lay a little better this winter, and I'll be able to run a line from the coop to the waterer outside and maybe keep it from freezing. While he was here, Jack replaced a broken outlet in my garage. It was a beautiful day today - was great to spend time sitting on the ground outside the hen house watching an electrician.

I haven't caught up with all the posts yet, but I did want to remember to say

Well, if you are already asking about poultry auctions, you certainly have the addictive personality we all love to enable

The first Saturday in November there will be 3 auctions in competition with each other - Cement, Fletcher and Blanchard. Normally, the Blanchard auction is the 2nd and 4th Sat, the Cement auction is the 1st Sat and the Fletcher Auction is the 1st and 3rd Sat.
Maude has an auction every Thursday night, Lexington has an auction on Monday nights - I think and Blue has an auction on certain Tuesday nights. There is a thread on the Oklahoma Auctions with them listed on the first page. Here is the link

Oh my! That is so great. I'm impressed. Could you post some of your photos?

I can give you a link, posting them might be to far off topic....

This is a contest winner from last year and is the latest one to be used on TV.

I met an old fisherman who had a different take on his sport. I asked him about the spot we were at if he normally caught something every few hours or so. He said, "Yep. Otherwise it's not called 'fishing'. It's called 'waiting.'"

Was this not the most gorgeous day? Good thing too..took me 2 hours to clean coop and run. Hubby is into feeding and watering...not scraping and scooping...

Quenston! No matter what, do not - I repeat, DO NOT - take the working washing machine motor out of Carolyn's clothes washer to repair your plucker. I'm just sayin'....

Matt

Is it not enough to have the world's most gorgemous roo?

Did ya have to have Griffith Observatory in your back yard too? Lived in So. Cal for 40 years and never made it there...I just love seeing the Milky Way out my back door here...(Magellenic Cloud?) Your pictures are wonderful....

Faeries...you got to shoot a .50 cal.? I am having serious gun envy...Loved those door gunners in the Vietnam War....they were awesome...also the guys who could just carry them and free fire them....*sigh*

Knowing Q he has probably told her he could get the clothes clean and the chickens too all in one tub.
