I wonder if this is complications from the flu?

Teach : Morning buddy.

Buster : Morning Jim yeah I guess we did missed each other last night I left Cement at 6:30. I stopped in at Fletcher on my way to Cement I peeked in and didn't see very many birds and they were out back selling furniture

so I high tailed it outta there. Cement was OK for the middle of Nov they had some good quality birds there and no Furniture, to my surprise prices were stable for both buyers & sellers a good sign. I did get a chance to visit with Mike and as allways he was buying everything in sight LOL, I wish I had the chance to visit with him more but he was pretty busy.

Tara : Be careful in your travels, your were busy bee this weekend.

Okiechick, I'm glad you're feeling better!

Cammie, I hope your sister gets better soon!

Gerald is still sick & I think his problem is turning into the flu, and now I'm worried I'm getting it. I checked his temperature last night and it was 101 & he said he hurt all over. Silly boy took his pain pill (Loritab) instead of his antibiotics. He's not one to drink or do drugs .... so the Loritab caused him to not know anything ... any question I asked was answered with "I don't know". Well, at least he's a little more perky this morning. He is out mowing the yard (on the riding mower).

Now I'm starting to ache, but I have to go to work today

Oh, but I do have baby chicks hatching!!!!! At our last POOPS event, I won the dozen eggs from BYC member onnthespot. She is a very sweet lady that lives in California & donated hatching eggs to our raffle. Anyway, she sent me a box of beautiful eggs and they're hatching! She sent me some black copper marans, olive eggers, silkie and showgirl eggs. So far, 7 have hatched ... 1 for sure is BC marans and I see 2 showgirls!

Since you have been "lurking" you have undoubtedly read the standard disclaimer for this group - but I will give it anyway

This group has many people who are addicted to poultry auctions, hatching chickens and acquiring poultry. If you are not already addicted to those things, we would be happy to assist you in becoming addicted.
So, tell us about your poultry, what you have and what you would like to acquire

Yes, I have read it numerous times. It still makes me laugh. The only good thing about work is my chance to catch up on the BYCers.

We had chickens when I was a kid. And truly loved 'em! Haven't lived anyplace where I could have any until recently. So right now I have 1 roo EE coon attack surviver (Rocky) that my wife has spent the last six weeks nursing back to health. A pair of Shamo, 2 Shamo bantam hens(1 w/ 3 chicks), 1 Ko Shamo roo, 1 black 1 blue Aseel pullets, 2 Welsummer pullets, 2Golden Comet pullets,4 Cochin Frizzles, 1 red Leghorn roo, 1 RIR roo, and some Atwoods specials with only 1 black Cochin roo and a porcelain Bearded d'Anvers identified confidently.

Thanks P&B for mailing me Les' Flock Health booklet

Here are the two WLR roos that I brought home with me from Lincoln. The pics don't do them justice. I will try and get some better ones later.

Valkyrie is a great movie! You should watch it... I think it really re-enforces how we can never let anyone like Hitler have power again! And it proves there are real-life "super" heroes!

Anyway, the book swap website (www.paperbackswap.com) is pretty easy. You just set up a simple account and type in the ISBN# of the books you don't mind getting rid of. Then, when someone requests one of your books, you print up a paper that automatically has all the mailing info on it, and mail them the book. Once they get it, you get a "credit" to trade in for any other book from their list with over a million books!

That was the year I met you and Grace and Okie. They ended the show on Saturday because of the impending ice age that was about to befall us.
No power for over a week and I still have tree limbs over my big chicken pen.
Plus no BYC for a week.
Never want to do that again.

Yes, I remember that fateful day

Besides for the awful weather, it was great! That was like our first Okie meetup
