you sillies and persimmons...

Henny - yup that is my little brother! The other is 16 and darn near eye to eye with me and probably out weighs the other brother. Only in my family can a 6' 240 lbs guy feel small! When the uncles and everyone were in the hospital...I felt small and two of them had walking aids! My dad's uncle is like 86 or so...drives and all that...looks just like he did when I was 6! Only now carries a walker. He is couple inches taller than me still but is slimmer. My uncle got a virus that parlyzed him, ate his muscles and just about killed him...that was a couple years ago...he is back to managing a ranch...tad taller thanme and well...I am not sure I could whip him and there ain't enough of anything to get me to try! He was the only one I figured I would ever be taller than. At least my sisters married short guys!

With the predicted snow I guess I better but then endback on the coop...long story...involving stupid dogs and yup

CHICKENS!!!!

Okay guys, don't wish too much snow on us. I admit that I prefer snow to ice, but the snow storm we had a couple of years ago was the PITS! I left work at 1pm and didn't make it home until after 9 - and that was WITHOUT my car! My drive to work normally takes just over an hour. I thought I would NEVER get home that day. Had to park my car at Little Village, and a neighbor drove me on home.

To make matters worse, the power went out. DD and her hubby and their five kids had to move in with us til the power came back on! Nine of us in my little bitty house was a bit much!

Okay, I need Doc Les (or anyone else willing to help)

A few of my chickens had runny noses, so I doctored all with Vet Rx. Now two days later, a few of them are gurgling. I need some advice on what to give them. They are all acting as usual, but have the gurgling sound coming out of them.

P.S. Does anyone else have trouble with the Vet Rx causing clogged nostrils? Everytime I use it, I have to repeatedly clean dirt out of nostrils.

Good evening everyone!!! Looks as though everyone is enjoying their day!! I am having a great day I am going to go and get new birds Friday afternoon, these are the ones that I talked about the other night, I asked him on quality and he said that he showed all the birds this last summer in the Jasper, Lawernce and Newton county fairs and took no worse than 2nd so I fill alot better about getting them for my kids, this is what I am getting I will post pics of them when I get them home on Friday!!1 trio of belgiam quail d'anver bantams 1 pair of mille fleur bantams

No, I usually don't have any issues with the Vet Rx giving clogged nostrils. Are you dripping the VetRx into the nasal passages? Are you making them swallow it and then rubbing it on the back/wing area to get it close to the lungs? Also try rubbing a bit on the throat area.
