I was driving in between Choctaw and Midwest City when it happened I guess. I didn't feel it though. That is only about ten miles North of my house.

Ive got a PM in to Carla trying to arrange to get them, I can start two lines from a single rooster and two hens. You know it will be a challenge to get the rose comb bred out of them, or easy to get them to lay green eggs.

I just figured I would start a line of Blue rose comb NN's.

The Minorcas are supposed to be from some top show lines. Anyway I just liked the way the hens looked, Big and blue and not poofy like Cochins.

Wow! Well I guess its good you didn't feel it. They didn't act like anybody did. Lol. You were driving at 5 in the morning??
Yours was a 3.0, the one we had earlier this year was a 3.2. Some people said they felt it but I think they made it up. Lol. No, they did get a bunch of 911 calls that night. Wish I'd been workin, I missed out on all of it!

there must have been about 30 - 40 people there at the Alex auction
a good number of birds about 150 - 200 most of the prices seemed low good for the buyers
not so good for the sellers only 2 lots were p.o.ed
mike showed up he was buying and selling
Jerry from the Blanchard auction was there

I got 7 Delawares most of them young for under $20.00

Lol. The one near Chickasha actually was about a mile from my parents house. They slept through it all, but some of my hubby's family who live next door claim that it woke them up. They said things were rattling on shelves so they went outside and it sounded like a roar. There's a gas station nearby that supposedly had things rattle off shelves, and the numbers in their sign almost shook out. I don't have any info on the Choctaw quake, since my prime source said he didn't feel it.

Sorry I thought I read it was at 11:13 today but that is the time it was posted not when it happened.
I had left my sons Ball game at 11 so that was how I was figuring the time.
At five a.m. my snoring caused more shaking the the quake.

The USMC ball tonight was pretty awesome... J was on the sword detail, which of course that went off without a hitch. It was pretty awesome that when they did the oldest to youngest cake passing, it started with a woman born in 1922, enlisted in 1943. I can't remember her name, but she was beautiful and sweet

The youngest was a baby... born in 1991.

Made me feel a bit... old. LOL

Afterwards I swapped out my heels for boots (I ain't stupid... the boots were in the truck, and the dress was long enough that nobody would see them) and we went out with several other NCOs. We had a blast. When the official pictures are in (should be 2-3 weeks), I'll upload a pic here. It was pretty great. This makes my third USMC ball, and the second for the Fox Battery here in OKC.

*edit* The eggs that Monty is setting for me are silkies. Blue/black/splash, white & partridge.
