I had a chance to talk to Neecy (Slightly Cracked) at our 4-H share the fun activity in which Lynneas group won first in the Large Group competition Jr. class, but anyhow with Neecy, she said that they have been dealing with Basketball alot here lately I told her that there were alot of people on here asking about her and she said that she would be on here some time when she got time!!

Hope everyone had a great day!!!

I am a born & raised Californian (please don't hold it against me! I am a dyed in the wool Okie now!) and I don't miss those earthquakes either, but I would almost take those over having tornadoes every season!

See, with a tornado, you have a chance that it'll miss you. With quakes, everybody in the area gets nailed. I prefer the tornadoes. LOL

Cammie, sorry to hear about your beloved cat how awful but glad to know the gal stopped to tell you she was sorry, not alot of folks do that some literally hit and run with out a second glance. I can only imagine how the driver felt... I accidently hit a baby jack rabbit a while back on my way to the park late one night and tried to swerve and I felt so bad that I had to get out and pick it up and try to bury it on the side of the road.

Other news Austin was able to come home Friday evening so he is only home arrest.. ha ha until the DR can check him again on Tuesday ... They casted his foot so he couldnt damage it with any more nail stepping .lol.

Jason and I met a young guy this evening that came over to maybe buy some tires and we introduced him to the Turken we got at POOPS... he had never seen anything like them before.... he proceeded to tell us he has a buddy down the yonder from his place that maybe looking to re homing his chickens(Silkies), so we piped up and said Hey if the neighbor is serious to let us know we might want some and definatly know folks who would take some too.... So who knows I may have a connection here in the next few days or so and I can help feed ya'lls obsession.

I am thinking of a career change after being in the laboratory for 20 years.

Well I am going to read back a few pages back to see if i can catch up on the news!

Oh by the way Shaun and his group got 1st place with their 4H skit and will get to go to district with it.

Me too. Tornadoes it is mostly psychological.

I was on a bus tour of Mountain Meadows sites (I'm a descendant) in Arkansas and talking to a guy who lives in the SF Bay area about it. I told him I would take tornado alley any day. See, even if it is a really big and powerful tornado, it is going to cut a swath of, what, a quarter mile at most? So, the chances of that tornado hitting my house in an area of this size is extremely slim, not to mention I can see it coming for miles usually. Plus for extra insurance, I have a tornado shelter.

A 6.5 earthquake hits and everyone gets it, there is no warning, and no such thing as an earthquake shelter.

Howdy! I am home...ain't read nothing in a few days ut just wanted y'all to know...snow ain't fun!

The funeral was nice. Saw family that i had never met in my entire life...my father's half sisters...go figure

Well, relative, really. Captain Alexander Fancher, my ancestral uncle, was leader of the Fancher Party wagon train massacred by Mormons at Mountain Meadows, Utah. He was on his way to California to join his brother and my great grandfather with 300 head of Arkansas cattle. It happened in 9/11/1857. Over 130 men, women, and children were murdered.

The sites we were visiting were their homes, staging areas for the wagon train, graves of relatives and ancestors, etc.
