Phyllis - Thanks, wrote the number down and will call him.

Grace - Will have hubby backtrack his info and will get it posted
as soon as he makes contact. All I know for sure is that it is
a BANTUM show...period. Don't know what all else is involved...
selling area, etc.

Will post information soon.

Have a good one, all !

Hey everybody ~ HAPPY HOLLIDAYS!

Tina, yes we have more eggs! I've even listed some on ebay again, since some of my birds are laying so well. I think the 70's we had yesterday made them think it's springtime. Wow, and we had a thunderstorm roll thru last night even!

Anybody going to an auction today? I know Blanchard is having one, but not sure of Jones. We'll take some young birds to Blanchard. Probably taking some turkens and some silkies that are over a month old, and maybe a turkey or two.

... I just wish I could go to 2 auctions at the same time!

Awesome Carla, I have a friend that wants some standard cochin and polish. Have any eggs of them? I know I want 10 doz HEN eggs

Good .... now I don't have to worry about what I might be missing at the Jones auction when I'm at the Blanchard auction tonight.

Sorry, we don't have cochin or polish anymore. I'm suprised we don't have some of everything though! But, we do have eggs from our cuckoo marans, jersey giant, spitzhauben, brabanter, silkie, turkens, araucana, and Easter eggers. Don't know that we'd be able to acccomodate 10 dozen eggs & of course all will be female chicks that hatch!

I also love computers, what if we came up with a online auction where you take Video or still shots of the birds or eggs for sale..Then it's like you have 6 hours to bid with payment Via paypal at the end of auction. that way the seller would have their money right away.
and pickup or shipment within 1 week.. each seller would have a screen name and would receive feedback..

maybe we could contact someone with a auction site and see what it would take to set this type of operation up.

Y'all are going to think I have nothing more to do then play on the computer. I have insomnia, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!! I mean might as well explore the world as to looking at the ceiling.

This is Eggbid on steroids!!

Well I guess it is, other than the fact that you have bidders all over the country..and the auctions run for days at a time.. I was thinking something more along the line of like the 4 state area where the birds or eggs can be picked up where they were produced. or shipped much cheaper than 30 dollars per bird..
I guess what I am looking at is just a local auction, maybe we could get one of the auctions like Jones or maud or where ever to put some streaming video and have someone man a phone to take call in bids and like i said before be able to use Paypal .. you know large car auctions do that..there might even be a small side biz where a person could collect the birds and ship them out for a fee..

again just typing out loud
