A bunch of our gang has been fighting illnesses these past few weeks. Countyroad and Greybear's son Dakota have both been in the hospital recently.

Henny's Mike went to a two-day interview in Chickasha and has been asked back in January.

Shavon (smfamf) got a new job and her little girl Lauren went in for surgery on her hand today - we're waiting to hear how that all goes.

Jeannie TheBarnSwallow pops in every once and again and gives us an update on her family - she is so sweet and I like her newsy posts.

Lots of folks are out in the wood chasing deer.

nnbreeder and poultryand bees continue to dispense invaluable chicken advice, although I saw P&B say today "I don't want more chickens" and I knew it was a LIE!!

Quenston played B-ball and jogged last night and we're afaid he may have overdone it - you feeling better, Q?

I've been being mean to Monty and teasing Stimpy.

Hello all. The trip to OKC was big colossal waste of time. All they did was tell us what time to be at the hospital and give us a map so we could find our way. Wouldn't a stamp have been cheaper than the gas to drive up there? We did get a chance to stop by PetSmart. I bought a new cage for our ferrets. It is three times as big as their old one, so they are really enjoying it.

Al, It is great to see you back.

Q, how's your niece doing tonight? I have been thinking and praying about her. I hope everything turns out okay.

Brick, thanks for the words of encouragement for my daughter.

MG, I didn't make it to see the silkies today. I still have to talk to my husband about them. Are you going to be at Shawnee?

Speaking of Shawnee, I don't think I will make it. I have to go back to the city on Dec. 2 and Dec. 17th. I don't think I can afford to go on the 12th or 13th.

I haven't been doing much of anything. I have hatched a few chicks, and I still have eggs in the incubator due on the 3rd. I have another dozen ready to go in tomorrow. I'm banding them as I sex them, to determine how accurate I am at guessing gender.

Having a guy from Mike's work over tomorrow for dinner...He is from South East Colorado and is not going home...he is going to come here...so I'm pulling out all the stops....(for me at least) Doing 2 breasts...one in the smoker one in the oven.... with all the trimmings. Haven't done this in awhile. My sis makes the best mashed...stealing her recipe....little reds with the skins on....they are awesome....!!! my mom is coming too, I hope. She had the same nasty head cold as me that liked to kill me on Monday and Tuesday. For a little head cold it had a big kick!!! Man I feel like all our family on here is back together again.....!!!

I have been doing a bunch of cooking today and prep type work for tomorrow, all while watching my two knuckleheads Baking pies and sweet goodies for the big chow down day. it is just going to be us and a few friends and BIL for dinner.

smfamf my niece is doing much better she was granted emergency custody today and we have gotten her and the kids a attorney she is not comfortable going home quite yet but she went and talked to our minister today for some guidance and I beleive that she is locked in to stick to her decision.

City I am feeling much better this evening I have used my inhaler quite regulary today and it has seemed to help alot!!!

Evening all!!

I am done with my cooking for the night. Don't have to do much since most of the work will be done by my mom & Grandma (with my helping hands) tomorrow! I am looking forward to it.

Q I am glad you are feeling better! Take it easy and don't ever do that agian ( are ya'll seeing a pattern?) I'm really glad that your neice is doing better, I continue to pray for her & the kids. Stinks that you have to work tomorrow.

City you are our board reporter, you are great at keeping track of everyone.

Dee I knew you weren't mad, I was commenting that the sheriff "wished others would mind their own bussiness" I am glad that you guys are take care of that mare. I wish the times weren't so bad that more folks could take care of the one's that are neglected.

smfamf sorry your trip was a waste! I hate that you had to spend the gas. Is your daughter alittle more at ease??

Sooner - the deputy only meant that there was nothing really wrong with the daughter's mare and wished the reporting person would listen to him when he explains it to him. He's the one that usually handles the animal neglect calls. Deputy thinks the reporting person is turning in the horse more out of spite than any real concern. We honestly have no idea who's been reporting us.

Daughter's mare is NOTHING like some of the horses he's seen. Having been a broodmare for so many years, her backbone sticks up because the tendons are so stretched out. Her hips are bony - more from lack of muscle than weight issues. Her ribs don't show nearly as much as they did a couple of months ago, and the vet has recommended that we exercise her on the long line and some very light riding to help her build her muscles back. She's full of pi-- and vinegar now, so she's definitely not in trouble. Both vet and deputy are pleased with her progress.

Stimpy - thanks to you I still have "Donna" running through my head. Talk about a mind worm!

Quenston - glad you're feeling better, and that your niece is moving forward.

Hey everyone!
So what is cooking? I made cranberry salad (with real cranberries that I had to cook and everything!) and a sweet potatoe casserole.

Quenston, is that broody silkie the one you got from us?

Dee, What kind of feed program are you using on your hard keeper? We have had a few in the past and maybe could offer some economical (sp?) suggestions if you are interested.

smfamf, I bet your ferrets didn't think your trip to OKC was a easte of time!

Stimpy, I can understand about the texture thing BUT Ice Cream? I can't stand pears, they have a grittiness to them that is just wrong and WHY do people insist in putting them in jell-o EEEWWW!!

Henny, It is always nice to have everyone together, isn't it!

City, you have done a wonderful job of updating Al, and.............pestering the boys!!

Sooner, I remember "helpling" my grandma in the kitchen, I sure miss that. I have no grandparents left!!
