You did exactly the right things. It should be OK, and you probably know you need to watch it for a few days to be sure it doesn't paste up again. I know a lot of people, including me, who "put them in our shirts" to warm them back up.

I wondered on the frizzle gene showing at hatch myself. Ive never seen one and I assumed you would have to let it start to feather out before you could tell. Makes sense i guess.

I took a picture of my blue and black NN's to show ya but my comp has a virus and wont let me load them

There too cute even though the wife thinks there ugly as sin. She has bad taste though.

Betsy I follow the same basic routine as you, this is my first time preparing for show and the first show for my kids, I know the birds that we are showing are not as high quality as breeders etc, but plan to have higher quality birds by next year and learn more about show breeds etc...

I certainly hope it's alright... it's one of the 4 white ones that is going to their new home next week. I heard that I could put a little vaseline around the vent to keep the poo from sticking... is that right?

Vaseline will help from what I understand but I am by no means a expert!

Little Chickie Foo Foos are chillin' in the brooooder, Little Chickie Foo Foos with topknots on their heads

Why yes, I've devolved into making up silly lyrics for old rhymes because the chicks are taking my mind off my own pain. They are so cute and fluffy, with their black beaks and black feet, little fluffy top knots and five toed feet

Hey...which breed is it that is so darn tall and scrawny....Shamos or aseels? Or totally something else? My brother (lurking Doc Henry) wants some and well...being the great big brother I am (even though the little guy is like twice my size) I gotta get him some....

I'm totally in love with these little guys. J has given me endless ribbing for how much they are held and cuddled (there's one with me right now). I'm even seriously considering getting some sizzle eggs and having both frizzled and smooth silkies. They are so sweet and cute

. I love my cochins too, and my layer pullets.... but I've never been so enamored with any other kind of chicks. I think you're right about finding "the breed" for me

Hopefully my cochins don't get jealous... LOL
