I saw there was some talk of the Eufaula show, so I thought I'd add in my two cents

I heard it will be sponsored by the same people (Creek Nation), but will be in Muskogee this year.
Also, any bantams, large fowl, waterfowl, geese, or turkeys, are allowed, but only people that are in 4-H can enter....

Two things:
1. Anyone know what kind of rooster this is? http://www.flickr.com/photos/24020445@N02/4204250942/ We tried to find others like him at the Shawnee show but thought the closest was the mediteranean (sp??) leghorn so he's probably a cross. Does that sound right? He's a handsome guy, about to be listed on freecycle, sigh.
2. Anyone happen to lose a rooster and hen in NE Norman last Thursday night? If so, we have them and you can have them back if you can identify them.

Thanks!

I'm thinking about asking for chicken feed for my birthday next week.

Gotta stock up for those rocks that might hatch.

Matt's Game Rooster Dubbing Tip #1

Don't use your wife's good sewing scissors to dub your game rooster.

(unless you have time to clean them up real good and put them back before she finds out)

I'm just saying.....

ps. My black OEGB rooster is dubbed

and should be ready for the Pryor show!

Oh wow. And you're alive to tell the tale!

J knows that if he touches my good sewing scissors, I will do my level best to refrain myself from breaking his fingers but I would make NO PROMISES.

Might not be a bad idea (or "idear" as we say in Oklahoma).
