Hello everyone! Ya'll get your dose of snow for the day? We got big beautiful flakes from bout 3 to 7 this afternoon; and it didn't stick to the pavement, perfect! Me and mom hit up some after Christmas shopping. There's stills some good stuff left out there! Well there was til we got there.

Who had the gorgeous gold d'uccles? I have narcoleptic episodes when I read through the posts, so I forget everything pretty quick.

Anyone have New Year's plans??

I think I have somewhere arourd 40. I need to do a head count again because I am not sure that includes the young ones.......if only they would stay still while I am counting. LOL.

I need to get a grip and figure out what I am going to keep and stay with it, but it is like candy, I like this kind today and another tomorrow.

you are a good sport to spoil the chickens by making sure they have their equipment just where they like it - the same place it was before you changed things around

me too - we made plans for a way to handle things in the office if there was 2 inches of snow, or worse - ice, but unless something starts up again, I don't think the roads will be any worse in the morning than they were this morning - which was tolerable.

Our roads actually seemed clearer after the extra snow! Hubby's job says the weather is absolutely no excuse to miss work. But when they couldn't get their patrol cars out of the driveway last week I think they started making exceptions. Lol

When I worked in Enid we had farms scattered out from Aline all the way to Hunter. In the winter we put a 14 foot blade on the front of one of the 4x4 Versatile tractors to push snow with so that cattle could be fed and we could get to the farms.

The bosses son was pushing snow one winter and was not watching how close he was getting to the road. Well what he did was to let the blade get too high and before he knew it he broke through and was stuck. Took him 30 straight hours to dig the tractor out with a shovel but he never got stuck again!!
