Teach how ya doing? I am sorry to hear of the troubles that are going on in your town, we live in a small town as well and we went through a similar experience about 2 weeks ago, it always seems that when it rains it pours!!

I know this was for P&B but thought I might pipe in, Our GP roams as well... mainly in the night time... he likes to do alot of check ups... he mainly stays to our property but can be known to go to the next door neighbors place( Of course it doesnt help when their 4+ dogs come over here and he goes to chase them back home that he ends up staying to play

we are in the process of getting out placed fenced and partially hot wired, and after our incident today even more so...

Jackson normally doesnt mess with our birds, and all day up until we had to leave to get the hay he had been laying out in the sun while they all free ranged around him like nothing... In fact he even moved him self over by our well house when a few of the Turkeys began to peck at him... But it still doesnt change the fact that we lost our Turkey today due to our error of not putting them up prior to us leaving, like I had initially thought they were.

nnbreeder: And you are correct there is going to be lots of work needing to be done to correct this behavior, if he is going to do this outside of when we are not home...

I have gotten my dogs that will go out with me and I can let them in the pen and they stay by my side, I used a short leash and collar, it took me almost 2 months to get them so that I didint have to have a leash on them, I had a newspaper that I took with me when they werent on the leash and if they tried to get rowdy when going out I would bust there bottom not really hard just hard enough to say that they werent suppose to be doing that .

No problem. I was going to wait until after mail run Monday and then contact you in case it had gotten lost in the mail. After I registered for the Shawnee show, I learned that my check was one of NINE that had not gotten to them. One had been "washed" and rewritten in a much larger amount and an attempt was made to cash it. Steve said that had never happened before. That was my only worry.

Hope Clayton still loves the birds and that they do well for him.

We had another dog get into the birds...but the only place they got was the bottom pens in the special bird area...yup...one silkie, one malay roo, one shamo hen...I think that is it...stupid fence burned down and well it is kinda freakin' cold! Guess what we are doing in the cold tomorrow!

At the risk of sounding too rude, crude and socially unacceptable - my husband is a big Benny Hill fan. When we moved here, he wanted to call our little spread "Breaking Wind," after a skit in one of the old episodes. I refused to call my home "Breaking Wind," so I guess that name is still up for grabs?

(Been here since 1984, and still haven't named it!)

Q are you wanting Bantam or Standard of the FOO FOO birds?

Teach, Sorry to hear about your loss, Can't you just kill every dog in that town and be done with it?

The cold is getting to me. I used to stay out in it all the time with no problems but now I hate going out in it. I need some warmer weather so I can get some stuff done outside.
It wasn't really that cold today in the upper 20's but I still didn't like being out in it.
