I really really liked the Breaking Wind Farm but would you believe Jason was like I dont think so... I think that is a great great name... and its so catchy and silly.. something that causes people to remember!

Monty good to see ya up and about!! I went outside for a little while today but not to long!! I am wanting the Bantam FOO FOOS well that is what my son is wanting anyhow, me on the other hand am going to start looking for some Buff Brahmas!!

She has to wear sunblock almost all the time - even when she just goes to the grocery store, poor kid. She even has to wear long sleeves and turtleneck shirts in high summer...

Whew! Finally got caught up. It's been a busy last few days. Ended the old year on a very sad note. Youngest daughter's beloved horse suddenly died. Daughter was devastated, and sat for hours in the cold with the horse's head in her lap. Horse had been having some sort of problem ever since we got her - she just refused to put on weight, no matter how much we fed her. We sent three of our horses, including the daughter's, to a neighbor's when the storm hit Christmas Eve. They had a nice big barn. Daughter's horse was fine until Thursday morning. When the neighbors when out to feed the horses, daughter's horse was down, and apparently had been for a while. They called daughter for help, and after she got there were able to get the mare on her feet. Daughter called the vet, and he demanded $500 in cash up front to come out and look at the horse. Unfortunately, daughter didn't have that kind of money. She called a different vet, who couldn't come out, but did tell her to come to the office and pick up some meds for the colic she apparently had. The horse was up and eating and drinking. Daughter injected her with the antibiotics and pain meds the vet gave her at about 4:30pm. All seemed to be fine until the mare suddenly went down again about 6:30 and never got up again.

Poor kid (even if she is 27!). She is still grieving...

So are her kids. It's had to tell little kids that death is part of life - especially on a farm. It's even harder to tell them to buck up and not cry when their mother is crying her eyes out...

Oh well, I guess this too shall pass? I think I have her jollied into looking around for another horse when she gets her income tax refund. Hopefully, she won't buy another one just because she feels sorry for it!

I think I'm going to go watch the Alamo Bowl now. The Cotton Bowl was a big disappointment...

You know, I have no idea! I'll have to ask her - those might be a better answer. I know LED's put out a lot of light for their size, but I don't know much more than that...

Yeah! After trying and trying I finally got this darn avatar to work, LOL. Now I need to go back and see what I did to make it work. Not too used to Apple software. Apple is suppose to be easy, but I guess when you have been trained on the harder things sometimes it is harder going to easy, LOL.
