Hey guys

Thought I would pop on here while I have a few min to spare...

Casting Crowns are one of my favorite Christian bands.... News Boys(saw them in concert while living in CO) are up there too!

Actually I pretty much like all the music I hear on K LOVE or Air One Radio I was a die hard Country music person but started getting turned off when the music was going more country pop.

Anyhoot I guess its going to be pretty chilly tomorrow... Hope everyone keeps cozy

It really feels nice and warm out today! I almost could wear some shorts out there, LOL. If only the ground wasn't frozen so that I could actually get some gardening done. I am really starting to get cabin fever, uggggggg! I am probably also starting to drive all of my chicken friends nuts! Sunshine needs to hurry up and get back here warm things up so the ground become unfrozen and I can do some of the gardening I had planned to do these last few weeks while I was off of school. Why is that right when I really have the time to get things done it had to get all cold and frozen and not let me do a darn thing, uggggg, except clean the house, double ugggg!

I understand colleges are captive audiences. I also know that authors need to be paid for their work/research/brainpower/time. However. $300 for 2 textbooks, and one of them is used, makes me shake my head.

Ah well, at least it's not like my last literature class. 12 additional paperbacks (that luckily I managed to score online for between $2-5/each) and a 3 book "set" as the textbook. Cost more than the tuition for the class!

When it comes to contemporary christian music, I like Mercy Me. Other than them tho I prefer southern gospel quartets.

I love Mercy Me. However, I have to agree with Barnswallow....Casting Crowns are one of my favorite also. I wish I had had contempory Christian music when I was a teenager. I love the old hymns but sure do like todays music.

I grew up listening to, and singing with gospel quartets and singing some street corner doowop. Believe it or not, at one time I was a pretty good tenor.

Can't believe you all are bashing country music! I always used to go and park on the highest hill in listen to the Grand Ole Oprey! Now that station is our local am station! I don't really like a lot of the modern country but still like the old. But I am ginormosyly proud of all the great Okla. country artist! We have some many from our state. And we are always quick to point out to any one who will listen that "Yeah,He/She is from Okla!
We were down to 5 degrees this morning and they say its going to get much colder!! Yikes!! I've been letting my young birds out so they can come to the house and sun on the south side. They learned taht real quick. Supposed to have 1-3 inches of snow tonight. Some of my little pure bantams are starting lay(lkie the mille flure OE) and it just breaks my heart to have to put the cold eggs in the fridge! I just want to set them all,but they just get to cold.

Saying I'm not a fan of country music isn't bashing it

Just isn't to my taste... there are a lot of people who like jalapenos, but I don't... and I like things that other people don't. Individuality at it's best.

I'm not a fan of gospel music either, but then again, how many people here appreciate hymns sung in Hebrew? I know a few of those, and several songs sung in Spanish (I may be half Puerto Rican but I am not a native Spanish speaker). I've danced to Mediterranean music as well. Different strokes, different folks.

No, I don't think we're bashing anything. I don't like Garth Brooks, but I like Chris Gaines. I don't speak Spanish, but I like salsa (the music AND the sauce). But, my daughter gave me a Spanish language program for Christmas so I'll be learning it soon.
