I see all the points on the milk thing, but personally I like fresh milk, but with my health problems, mainly diabetes, raw milk raises my blood sugar beyond beleif, faster than store botten milk, that is my 2 cents lol

Yes it was.............. had to be amoung the tops for a postseason game. WOW !!!!!! What a game huh.....

AL

It was a very good offensive game between two very good quarterbacks. I was rooting for the old guy, but then I usually do (not next Sunday in the Dallas/Viking game, though). Not a whole lot of defense todaay, and defensive is my favorite kind of game (almost 90 points and a thousand yards doesn't make for a great defensive struggle). But it was nice to see the defense is what won the game in the end.

I'm glad Arizona won. They might be able to handle New Orleans, and I always love to see the Cowboys and Arizona play... especially this time because it would mean they play in Dallas.

And Dallas can play some D!

yeah Jim things are shaping up to be a good one for sure, I like the Vike's next sunday, and I like N.O. although Kurt warner played very well today. I just enjoyed the tempo of today's game and by the 3rd quarter it was a big play game, always fun to watch a good comeback.

Note aloud:

The reason why there's not much in the way of cooking that requires effort in Chez Faerie can be summed up in this sentence...

"Honey, I'm sure they taste fine, but did you REALLY have to dirty every dish in the kitchen to make those?"

For the record, it was a small and a large mixing bowl, three different size measuring cups, 2 measuring spoons, a pan, a whisk and a wooden spoon... not hardly "every dish in the kitchen".

Oh, and the pancakes taste awesome.

We stuck ours in the fridge. Believe it or not Al different breeds have different textures and tastes. A heavy cream producer like the Gurnsey or Brown Swiss will have a nice thick texture and if it was wine you would call it full bodied.

Just got back a bit ago from taking Charlotte roller skating for her Birthday. Now to catching back up on what has been going on with everybody. Went by the store before coming home and got some fabric and I going to start teaching myself how to sew those curtains I have been talking about. Maybe I can get this house a little warmer. We sit under a heating blanket to keep warm here. I have to tell Charlotte's friends to bring layers to wear when they are at our house to keep warm, very very drafty old house.

I never learned how to fish. Is it any fun?

Oh, heck yeah. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Yes! She is! I'm really impressed with how pretty & big my blue laced red wyandottes are. I think they may be the prettiest of all my birds. I bought mine as hatching eggs at the Jones auction last year. Now finally getting some eggs from the pullets, so I may have some eggs & chicks available this spring if anyone is interested.

Yep, you definitely need to go to Blanchard this spring. Surely you can talk your DH into coming along. Even if he's not a chicken lover, he'd surely enjoy visiting with us, or maybe even the spouses that lovingly choose to put up with us!

I think the blue laced red wyandottes are extremely pretty! I really want to get into the project birds for the cochins in this color pattern that and the MF. I seem to really like the feathered feet, but I may have to get some Wyandottes so that I can have that color patterns, because they are so pretty. Let me know when you have some eggs, I might just do it.

Do you eat the Carp??? Somebody recently told me that Tilapia is Carp, I couldn't believe it, but I am still not sure that is true. You know I was thinking though, if you don't eat Carp (I know my family never would and said it was a trash fish), couldn't you feed it to the chickens?

I know one thing that worked for Jones is to split the Misc. sale from the animal auction. Once a month,I think, on Sunday they have an outside sale for furniture and the like and start it at 2pm so it's after morning services and before evening services. It always draws a good crowd.

Very good point and a great idea Les..................... That way those of us chicken folks that don't have any interest in Misc, don't have to waddle through it during or before the poulrty portion, if your drawing Misc buyers they won't be buying or selling birds.

AL

So you guys think that if we changed our sale to just once a month on the third saturday of the month, and just sell poultry and farm related then our crowd would grow?

In my opinion YES very much so.......... but poultry and poultry related items. Farm related items usually means old junk and junk is what will appear. just sayin
