J has a bike, I have a bike, and my daughter's father has a bike. Now, that being said...

My daughter's father wants me to put her in a motorcycle training course at 14 and get her a scooter. I'm adamantly against it. It's not that I don't trust my daughter to drive safely, but she's a small child (and I'm not very tall myself, just barely over 5 foot on a good day) and I have no doubt that someone would "not see her".

i had 12 gauge when was about 12, i still have it, my great uncle bought it after WWII, traded it to my great grand father, who gave it to my dad who gave it to me, its a single barrel Rossi, imported from brazil. they are still around kinda like the remington or S&W of south america. just never shot it much was too scared dad always told me it kicked like a mule, its lighter than my pellet rifle. got over that once i finally shot, but i dont want to tear it up.

Hello all. It has been a beautiful day. I have enjoyed it even thought I spent most of the day in bed. I had to go to work this afternoon. When I got home from work, I decided that I was having a craving for chocolate and decided to make Chocolate/Peanut Butter No-Bake Cookies. They are cooling now, but the mixing spoon tasted pretty darn good. Jordan just called me from his Area Academic Meet and said that they came in first. This is really good considering they usually go against way bigger schools. Our team only took 4 sixth graders. Jordan was the only one that didn't have to enter the competition to see who would go. I am really proud of him. Lauren had a pizza party at school today because the Pre-K has gotten "Class of the Week" 3 times. She was really excited. They actually bussed 24 munchkins, 25 miles to eat pizza, so it was a real treat for them. Both of my kids received the "Student of the Week" award last week. There is one given out to the upper elementary and one for the lower elementary. I thought it was great that the both won in the same week. Okay, I'll stop bragging now.

Hello Tara.

Did the bad weather make it to your neighborhood last night? I wasn't expecting a storm of that magnitude and I left my power tools outside, covered only by a tarp. They made it thru ok, but I was worried there for awhile.

Just replying to a few posts that I think I initiated.
My son has several pellet guns, two shotguns, a .22., and a 30.30
He has shot all of my guns including a 7mm magnum.
He has killed ducks, a goose, a turkey, five deer, countless squirrels and vermin like coons and possums.
He is very safety concious and shoots well. I am not worried about the fact that he likes guns so well.
Its just that he always wants to shoot a bigger gun.
He has saved over $500 bucks to go toward his own new deer rifle.
I wish I could get him to put some of that focus on the importance of school and on his behavior.
He likes being the class clown and from some of the notes I have received from his teacher he is pretty good at it.
At least he has been practicing his act.

Hey guys,

Since we opted to change our Misfit farm name idea we decided to go with something more practical... Here is our "Business Card Design"

Our Address and phone have been opted out for personal reasons as of the moment and had no worries on the website since its still under construction as far as the layout...

So now its official on our name(s)

I went with four little acres because thats all the acreage we have and

called it the Welded Egg Farmstead because Jason is a welder in the Army and its something he hopes to do after he retires in 7 years and we will have a bounty of eggs...

So what ya think?
Jeannie

Yes! got a smidgin of hail too. just tiny stuff. Lots of rain, wind, lightening. Kinda sorta got worried there, but went to sleep anyways.

The back yard flooded, of course, but luckily all the birds were roosting properly.
