Sounds the Sussex is usued to a lot of attention from his prior home. My friend does tend to " baby" her chickens. Hopefully, you will get your bluff in on the rooster quickly and show it that you have higher standing than he does.

Ok thats it I am buyin a short bus!!! It can be the POOPS delivery and transportation short bus!!!! then we can all meet somewhere and all ride together!!

I have so many hobbies and such a love for bidding at aucctions, some of my family and friends would suggest that I already need to be riding the short bus.

Of coursrm, I think the short bus would be a great idea, provided I don't have to restore it to "clean" after we loaad all our poultry purchases into it.

Carla so far they have auctioned off probably close to 100,000 travel trailers. And I haven't been keeping track of the mobile homes but it has been a bunch.

Maybe after they auction them off they are going to replace them with new ones? That sure would give the state of Ind. a boost right now.

Well it's getting late and I have to drop in an engine that I built tomorrow. G'nite all.

i have a 65 passenger that i plan to start on this summer, front half sleeping quarters, kitchenette, WC, and shower, backhalf have built in cages and feed storage. well i can dream anyway.

I think that I have the most logical answer to the confusion at the auctions. Fletcher Auctions, pay close attention. I really believe that putting the the item/bird up on a platform for better viewing might block the auctioneer's view and cause some bids to be missed. I also think that putting our tables up front could block the view of other bidders and also subject us to the noise of the unattended children that seem to show up in droves. That leaves only one answer. They should carry on with the auction as if we weren't there and then, before the gavel falls, make everyone else shut up and ask us (politely mind you) if anyone at our table would be interested in owning the item/bird. If one of us should answer in the affirmative, we would be advised of the last high bid, given an appropriate discount because we are who we are, and then bring the gavel down. Everyone who matters is happy.

I'm just sayin' ...

Hey Keith........... ya doin ok ??. I think for the most part the auction folks are doing a fine job, I for one wouldn't want anymore consideration than we already get, I think they already have done more than enough I know most people are just joking about tables up front and such.

I pulled a little trick on my Daughter Alyssa when I got back from the auction it was really foggy outside so I parked my truck close to her bedroom window, she tends to sleep in too late on the weekends and I thought that Rooster would wake her up. Man did I get an ear full at 6:00am LOL that rooster crowed all morning LOL.

You aren't wearing a crimpson and cream colored shirt are you? That could cause anyone coming around to offer coffee to those in the waiting room to consider you "invisible" and you would have to go find your own coffee.

I love that poultry net that runs a hotwire. Single strand will not work
around here with anything I dont think but the horse. Now we have a corral
that I am thinking of for the calves IF I buy them. If I wrap the corral with the net
and light it up then the bob cat's and what ever would have to JUMP 5ft at least to
get in....
Poultry net run around t-post for the coops?
Any of you guys do any thing like this?
