Well, sad to say it was my 1st real vacation. Oklahoma is about all I know lol.

Left from Galveston TX and went to Cozumel and Progreso (Progress is kind of podunk) - had about a week. I loved it. The wife talked me into it and we know have our second one booked for later this year. The ocean is something else especially when all you know is red dirt and lakes.

My second vacation was to Virgina Beach which was quite fun as well, but the cruise you were made to feel like a King (or Queen for some).

I go out to DRMO every once in a while they do have some decent stuff there now and again, don't go quite as much as I used to.

The Thrift Shop has a ton of neat stuff if you know what to look for. If you check the back room, there is always old griddles
that can be converted into heating elements with a thermosatat.

Gees, why do guineas have to be such yucky birds?
Uncle Jack butchered 30 young ones and brought
me a couple of them and I fried them for supper.....
Good grief, they are soooooo good............ To me,
tastes like a cross between pheasant and cube
steaks. Maybe if I muzzled them I could stand them
for 4 months.........

Hope you guys have checked out the Farmer's Almanac
link that was posted earlier. I sooooo don't want to
be the bearer of bad news on here. They have changed
our "anticipated ice accumulations" here at Tahlequah,
and it ain't good news. 3/4 of an inch of ice will lock
this area down for a good while. Am hoping and praying
that the "Almanac" is wrong for the rest of February.
Have spent the day laying in gas for the generator,
pellets for the stove, grub for the natives, etc. And,
now gotta find some lamp oil somewhere......cause
Pa-Pa and TJ went ahead and fired up the darned
incubator and that will take my lamp plug-in....

Take care everybody !

We have done several family vacations and the cruise was by far the best one. I didn't come home wore out & had fun everyday I was there. We left out of Glaveston to Jamaica, caymun Island & Cozumell. 7 days of wonderful. The kids had a wonderful time as well.

Yeah the one we're going on this year leaves from Florida and goes the east Caribbean... (Wife has the location details)

If Uncle Jack didn't butcher them all, we need some more guineas. Spring is coming and I don't like ticks around the house.
