Well today is Wednesday and I am really glad, even though I have a ton of work both at home and the job to get done. I need a secratary at work and a fix-it person at the house to get everything done.

Taco Soup
2 pkg taco seasoning
chopped onion
cooked chicken
canned beans - about any variety will work, I like black beans or chili beans or kidney beans

canned chopped tomatoes
chicken broth
crushed tortilla chips

I fill the crockpot about 1/3 full of water, add powdered chicken broth and the taco seasoning and all the rest of the ingredients. Proportions are not particularly important, but you want a lot of stuff so it is more like a thick stew than a thin soup. The tortilla chips help thicken it.

Cook for a few hours on low to blend the flavors. Serve in a bowl with crushed tortilla chips in the bottom and topped with sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese.

I fix that for a big pot special at our sales... Taco Soup.... Its always a big hit!!!

Yes he PMed me.... Thanks for sending him my way.... Like I told him I do have nice ones but the silvers are just starting to lay as well as the goldens and I only have 2 golden hen so he might have to wait a bit, i also have a waiting list for them....

sjarvis sounds like your chickens are doing really well.. Hows the motorbike thing going?
My girls are wanting to start to show their chickens and things. Guess I better get things
going around here. Local 4h man told me to let them show in the open class in Aug. Not
sure if that helped. I know you all know that I'm a blonde from California trying to get this
country life right. I love it but gee its a different life. I had a gold fish growing up.

Yes chicken are doing well just wish some of the breeds would start laying already, and wish I had more hens on some of the breeds. The morcycle issue has been dropped for now but Im sure he will bring it up again later and the answer will still be NO.
