There are alot of great sites out there you just have to weed out all the ones that talk all scientific and get the ones that actually tell you how to do it. i honestly got my plans from a guy @ www.autolayne.com
real simple and it is all constructed from pvc. it cost 25.00 for the plan. but it is a great lay out as he even gives you templates of all the parts and pieces you have to cut out. so basically if you can use a sewing pattern it is that simple. i wouldnt charge you for helping you put it together. the great thing is you dont have to wait you can down load it right then.
I just woke up from a nap. A nap that was only SUPPOSED to be an hour... and somehow became 2 1/2 because I slept through an alarm that I set. I guess I won't get to see SJarvis today because I don't have enough time to get out there and back before I have to go to my evening class.
oh and there is one site that teaches you how to build a solar heater. i am thinking of build one for the barns. a solar hot water heater very cheap and inexspensive to build. just havent had time to build yet.
on the solar heater wood aluminum cans spray plexiglass a small exhuast and a small solar panel you can buy at harbor freight i sat and watched this produce 102 degree temp with the weather outside at 22 degrees. i was like wow. amazing all for less than 100 dollars.....sorry i am also addicted to self sufficiency.' less we depend on others the more we can stand on our own"
Just got word the second backup generator for Lawton's water treatment plant has gone down. So, Lawton will have what is available in its tanks and that will be it until power is restored or the generators fixed.
Hoodoo, you may not like your screen name, but I do.
I'm also enjoying all the talk about solar energy. Have you been to BYC's sister site on sustainable and self sufficient living? I'm sure your expertise would be much appreciated over there.

Do you have one of these now? If so what do you run off of it. I am not real up on this kind of stuff but a general idea of what it can be used for.
