Dachshunds, yes , all my dogs are akc. The father I actualy havent sent the papers off on yet and im not in any hurry. I belive the majority of these pups are spoken for an none of them are interested in more than pets. Sense they themselfs wont be breeding im not gonna take the time to register my stud then the litter etc. I will register him before the next litter though but that is at least a year or more off with my other girls. I was always told not to breed dapple x dapple because of the double dapple effect. All my winnier dogs are spoiled, they are my favorite breed if i had to choose one.

Remember next year im sending you a dozen bantam eggs to hatch out, we both know you wont let them just sit there when you got an incubator in the other room

Ronnie be careful with registering your akc dogs. They have a time limit on puppy papers and if you go over it (I think its ayear old)then you have to jump thru all kinds of hoops and may still not be able to get final papers. Been there done that! lol. I hadn't heard about the dapple effect. I'll keep my fingers crossed it doesn't affect any of the pups. Thanks for the info. Yeah they are our favorite breed also. Have you found any silkies yet? Mine are starting to lay, I can ship you some eggs for the postage if you'd like.

You can do a websearch about double dapple effect, its not pretty. In severe cases no eyes or ears. I hope you have no trouble either. On the silkies I did find 4 chicks from difrent ages. Two are pretty big two are fairly small. Maybe 2-4 weeks old. Ive delt with akc before on the late fee's cost me like 50$ to do the last registration and probly 80 to do his this time. Thats what i get for puttin things off lol.

Dachsunds, you may find this interesting. This is the reason I wont breed my blk and tan dapple to my daughters red dapple. http://www.dachshund.org/article_double_dapple.html Double dapples are beutiful but the health risk is to much. I hope you dont get any with problems, i know you didnt know

Theres always the chance you will only get dapple and not double dapple, slight as it is, that only 1 dapple gene affected each dapple puppie at a time, instead of both parents dapple gene on the same puppy (resulting in double dapple).

Im realy needing to find an akc chocolate/tan puppy. But I got 7 dogs as it is lol. wife would kill me. We need to post photos of our litters when they hit the ground, mine should be here within 3 weeks i forgot ot mark the callendar.

Good mornining everyone. Wed. was day 21 for my eggs and we still have many that are just pippin. Most have hatched and so far we have somewhere in the area of 65-70 chicks, not too shabby for our first run at hatching with our new sportsman. I just hope I can get these babies sold or we will be feeding lost of chicks for a while. If Anybody is interested in some future laying chickens let me know!

BTW. We are 100% addicted now. I can't get my hands on enough eggs to hatch.
