Yes hatching is very addicting. I have 4 doz barn yard specials in the bator due to hatch the 4th. Then I have 6+BLRW coming, about 2 doz or so someone else barnyard specials, and 8 doz of someone else BYS then will fill in the rest with mine. Will set the bator up again by Next saturday with at least 15 doz.

I have like 250 quail eggs...and a dozen various chickens in my 'bator...it ain't addicting! I want to have more birds than I have room for and I could quit anytime I wanted!

But I ain't a quitter! I think if we packages it correctly and sagged our britches we could sell it on the street with real drugs

Congrats on the EEs Teach, I have about eight hens in the standard size and one rooster, need to get the rooster put in with the hens so I can start saving eggs to hatch. Mine are laying a nice light blue and light green and on occation I get some darker green, my egg customers really like them, need to hatch more for my egg flock.
Thanks Monty for the contacts a while back for chicken people around Stillwater, I have met and traded eggs with two of them and corresponded with the other one, are there anymore people on BYC that are near the Stillwater-Coyle-Chandler-Cushing-Pawnee-Perry area????? If so would you all be interested in a meet and greet and coffee get together???? Let me know and I will see what I can get together in Stillwater as a central meeting place. Lynn

Well, I got home yesterday, warmed up my homemade brooder and all my new purchases are all settled in. AND hubby wasnt even mad.......hmm should I push the issue and buy more? hehe

I went to the feed store on Hwy 9 and 180th last sunday and went straight to see the chicks, none of them struck my fancy and didnt buy any. I think I am on the road to recovery on the buying more birds.

You guys are killin ME!!!!!

I am hatchery deprived, I have no incubator yet and it is driving me crazy!!

Maybe soon I can join the hatchery group as I think I got the wife convenced I need an incubator, heck I got ten acres so I guess i got plenty of room for a FEW more chickens
