Just a quick post to say "hi" as I head out the door to feed and gather eggs. Hard to believe it is so nice this evening after the front that blew through this morning. I can handle 72 degrees at 7:30 in the evening.

Hey where is everyone???

I know enjoying the weather outside I am sure. Getting ready to hit the hay soon. Long, long week but it is Friday so its all good.

Tomorrow night should be fun, chickens, good friends and nachos!!!

Need to stop off at Wally World tomorrow and get the stuff to build another chick brooder. With all the baby chicks and poults coming I need to get another built soon. I think I have finally figured out to make the perfect chick feeder. If I have got it figured out I will give you all the instructions. Or maybeee I will patent it and make big $$$$$. Yeah right!

Well I hang around for awhile and see who shows up.

Update on this week's events...

My friend with pneumonia is getting much better. They fortunately caught it at the beginning. She thinks she will get to go home tomorrow, but I doubt it. Soon, though. Her parents apologized. She confided to me this is the first time she has told her father no. I told her it was about time she did, then. She laughed.

The friend who suffered the attack amazingly wants to return to work on Monday. She wants to get busy so she can get the whole thing out of her head. I think I understand.

I think they are both amazingly brave.

I'm feeding the dogs using a dummy stuffed with raw meat. They have developed quite a taste for it. They will think the next burglar is lunch.

I had an incredible hatch of ducks and chicks. Two of the ducks are Muscovies. The chicks are Wellsummers and Cuckoo Marans.

Things are looking up.

Looks like another slow night. We went to our churches Easter firday pagent. It was really awesome. They hjad the lights out in the auditorum except on the huge cross in the center. Everyone who came in got a hand painted red and left their prient on the white cross to signify Him giving His blood for us. All the chairs were in a circle around the cross and the preacher preached a real ernst sermon on the crixifiction. It was very moving.

Can't wait till morning for the auction. I am not necessarily going after anything ,I just love looking at all the different poultry and critters. Lord if I had the money and the room I'd buy it all. I think that has been my life long dream,to have a farm and barns enough to have all the critters I wanted to raise. I should have been born rich instead of handsome I guess!lol(At least one would have been nice!hehe)

So wjo all is out there tonight, don't be shy!

The following is a list of birds that will be available for sale at POOPS, contact me via PM with what you would like to offer for either of the 2 auctions or will be for sale outright.

Alright everyone, now get those requests turned in. Someone may have what you want!!!

V e r y s l o w l y !

We got the roof put on this week and will start working inside in the morning. We are also supposed to cut the pipe for the new chicken pens this weekend. What are you up to?

Hey Mr Al or someone on the poops mangerial team(that sounds cool doesn't it!) be sure and mention that if anyone has any poultry books, magazines, etc to be sure and bring them. Maybe we can alot a table to that where people can look thru and trade reading material. Don't know about anyone else but I am always picking up magazines on chickens. They are too expensive to throw away. If someone has books they would rather sell maybe they can auction them. Remember books and magazines on chickens, ducks, pheasants, pigeons, turkeys, dogs, goats, rabbits, mini livestock even some good catalogs might be what someone else needs.

Okay,I'm tired of talking to my self(I'm starting to talk back!Lol) so I'm off to bed. Be back sometime tomorrow.

'Night Wayne. Guess I'm all alone now.

Oh well, I'm heading to bed anyways. I just fed the weak chick and it is walking around some. I gave it some more sugar water, but I also scrambled an egg and mixed it with some chick feed and sugar water. I threw the mix into the mini processor and ground it pretty fine. I gave the leftovers to the other chicks.

Sounds like you are suddenly incubating with a still air incubator.

I am sending you a PM with some phone numbers of incubator specialists you can call.

Just checked my incubator and have button quail hatching in the turning trays. These are the first eggs I have set from my own button quail
cool.png
Anyway, using the "Teach method of incubation
old.gif
" I guess that is the reminder that I need to move the chicken eggs that were set the same day - out of the turning trays.
