Kate start with the Duramycin but I would order some LS-50 online and swap them over to it when recieved. The dosage on the LS-50 is one tablespoon per gallon of water and used as the only source of water for 7 days. Should fix them right up.

Smith game bird syupply up in Ks would be your best bet for fast shipment as they offer overnight service.

I will post a link in just a few minutes.

My birds did that once. They also had wheezing. I ended up mixing some Terrimycin (sp.) powder with their water and locked them in the coop for a few days. The antibiotic cleared them up. Maybe someone will come around to help you. The board has been pretty slow tha last couple of days. I think everyone is out enjoying the nice weather.

Want to say I did the terrimycin as well when one of mine came down with something like this also.
George is now my buddie and it cleared up pretty fast...

Yes they do.... Saved me from worry too. I read to much and come up with the worse case...
This chicken group is really really good to be a part of.

hello all! Caitlin sold her extra roos this morning! Berr wants to add a couple of LF young laying hens to the coop. If you have any, let me know. variety and breed not important. Don't know if we will make it to poops. We are still waiting on our softball schedule. Anyways, hope everyone has a happy easter!

Evening all. Well I really enjoyed the auction today. It was huge as usual. Two auctioneers started at 9:30 and I left at 1;30 AND THEY WERE ABOUT HALF THRU! I managed to get 3 pairs of new birds. One gorgeous pair of Buff Rock bantams, one pair of Golden Comet bantams, and one pair of golden duckwing asils.
This is the only auction I have been to that has the golden comets. The hens look like their standard counter parts, the roos are more red pyle looking. They are heavy like the rocks. The buff rocks are just really pretty,They had several malays but they were out of my range. I settled for the asill pair. They are very nice to.
Even tho the day started out wet there was a big turnout. proably 4-5 thousand. In the poultry shed there was just about anything you could wish for. The pick for me was a pen of three young barnvelder hens. Boy they were beautiful. I may have to try and fit some of those in.

Mary's Swap meet/flea market is both Saturday and Sunday, year around. Vendors start setting up about daylight and depending on the weather and the crowds, they usually start shutting down between noon and 2 on Saturday and by 1 or 2 on Sunday. Of course, if the weather is nice and there are lots of people, they will stay set up longer. On cold wet days, there are fewer vendors and some shut down as early as 11:00 on Saturday.

Stimp, Sooner and Queen Peaches - when are y'all going to select GFM titles for your selves? All you need to do is go to the Golden Feather tab at the top of the page and there is a thread to post your requested title.

Stimp - ~Just Sayin, Chickens~
Queen Peaches - ~Mother Hen to all~
Sooner - ~changes avatar often~

Of course, others may want to suggest titles also

Nice seeing everyone at Cement... Carla, Gerald, Doc, Peaches, Muesky, Al, and Mike were the only ones I saw.

Erlene and I had fun. Didn't buy a thing. Just visited for a couple minutes with folks and walked around looking at chickens.

I started to bid on a cage of Cornish, but the auctioneer said it was 5 hens and one rooster when it was 4 hens and 2 roosters, so it went for more than it should have. Worked till 6 so got there too late for eggs.

Peaches let me know if you can find a brand name on that bator and I will try to track down a wafer for it. Barring that, I can trade you one of my Little Giants for it. I didn't know I was selling you a broken incubator. I had never used it, seeings I have 5.
