I was thinking it was hot outside, even broke a decent sweat, then checked weather.gov and it turns out the temp was only 83. Okay, so it must be the humidity. Nope. That was 40%, with a heat index of 84. It sure felt hotter than that. But then, I'm one of those heat haters too.
Of course, come July we will be begging for days like this, but then we will be acclimated to it.
Funny how that works.
I agree that today seemed "hot" even though the temperature was in the low 80s. Because I was digging and cleaning I wanted to wear a long sleeved shirt, but had to put on a lighter weight one pretty quickly. I got the chicken coop cleaned out and have to wear a mask while I do that - that was definately a warm job.
I see lightening to the North and NorthWest, but we aren't predicted to get rain. If we do, the holes I dug in the garden for the tomato plants will probably have to be redone before I can set the tomatoes in them. Yes, by July we will be yearning for 80 degree weather - and in Oklahoma we may get a few days like that....or not
J can't handle the cold very well, I can't handle the heat well. His hands/shoulders ache in the cold, my hands/feet swell up like water balloons in the heat. I keep telling him we need a more middle of the range environment, but that will probably never happen.
