Betsy at around 7 dollars a wafer change is cheap insurance. I keep two on hand at all times. It could also be that the little point on the micro-switch was sticking and not letting it come on.

I would call in the household electronics expert on this! LOL

MeMaw - just to clarify your idea a little further - you are not talking about posting any member personal information online, but rather sending out compiled lists via individual emails to those who are interested - is that correct? I believe a few of our members are very rightly hesitant to give out personal information in a post, and BYC Rules don't allow it anyway.

Oh no, Beth...just send it to each of us that request it to be allowed. I would send it in a pm.

I also thought it would be helpful when we see each other to be able to say their name instead of just saying "memaw, cityclucks, etc.".

Wow what a wonderful day!!!! Hope everyone had a great day!

We got home from my parents house this afternoon and we came home to one of our buildings blown in, all the chickens were fine, but now I have to tear the rest of the old one down and build another one!!

It's been dead all weekend. I'm starting to think it is me.

And here I bathed last night and everything.

So, you got one of the satellite thingies for your your computer that lets you surf while traveling, Sooner?

It's not you Buster, I took a bath & brushed my teeth & it keeps happening!!!

DH has the sprint air card that allows me to surf while driving or I should say while he drives.
I was surprised that there weren't any dead spots & since there wasn't anyone here to talk to, I was reading about poulty raising back in the day. There are some neat things online about that.

Evening for the few of us who are still on here.
Just a quick ninja post to say hi to everyone.
Got the chickens set for the week. Feed and water once a week with my new feeders and the waters. That works great, with not having to worry about feeding and watering everyday. Making plans for the big coop expansion. Another coop and a bigger yard with two grow out pens and two breeder pens. Anyone know where I can get cheap 6' tall chainlink fence panels? I need about 6. If anyone knows of some please let me know.

Well it is off to bed to get ready for another exciting week in h$ll. Just kidding!

Have a great evening everyone!

I was thinking it was hot outside, even broke a decent sweat, then checked weather.gov and it turns out the temp was only 83. Okay, so it must be the humidity. Nope. That was 40%, with a heat index of 84. It sure felt hotter than that. But then, I'm one of those heat haters too.

Of course, come July we will be begging for days like this, but then we will be acclimated to it.

Funny how that works.

I agree that today seemed "hot" even though the temperature was in the low 80s. Because I was digging and cleaning I wanted to wear a long sleeved shirt, but had to put on a lighter weight one pretty quickly. I got the chicken coop cleaned out and have to wear a mask while I do that - that was definately a warm job.

I see lightening to the North and NorthWest, but we aren't predicted to get rain. If we do, the holes I dug in the garden for the tomato plants will probably have to be redone before I can set the tomatoes in them. Yes, by July we will be yearning for 80 degree weather - and in Oklahoma we may get a few days like that....or not

Well it has been a fun weekend here. We ended up tearing out the bathroom because we found some mold. Well it look like I'm getting to design a bathroom now. We worked on the house during the day and here is a sample of how we spent the evenings.

The kids colored the eggs all by themselves. I just made the dye and said go at it. The castle is for a school project that is due tomorrow. We have been working on it for a month. Actually we started a month ago and worked one evening and then again tonight once we got the actual due date (tomorrow.) Andrew will have to transport it because it is too big for the bus.

J can't handle the cold very well, I can't handle the heat well. His hands/shoulders ache in the cold, my hands/feet swell up like water balloons in the heat. I keep telling him we need a more middle of the range environment, but that will probably never happen.
