Thanks for the reminder but to go along with that, we were hunting on a friends lease this past weekend down in the "mountains" and i asked him what the name of their's was. Of course he said "The Soggy Bottom Boys" I didn't tell him my deep dark secret. He would probably never let me hunt there again.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I could use your help, though.

Since my plans for getting Poco her Cornish rooster have fallen through, it would be much appreciated if you could stop and pick him up for delivery at POOPS. I've got something going every weekend from now to the middle of May and so won't make any auctions or gatherings or what have you till then, so no way to hook up with people.

I live right outside Geronimo about a quarter mile off I-44. If you think you can do it, just let me know and I will PM directions and contact info.

We are down to 3 weeks to P.O.O.P.S. I sure need to get the list with what everyone is planning to bring together so I can see where there might be holes:

Food listing for POOPS 2010:

Hi everyone as you know P.O.O.P.S will be May 1st . There will be one meal this year. Most of the meat (thanks to our P.O.O.P.S fund from the fall) will be taken care of so we will be looking mainly for side dishes, deserts, casseroles, paper products, cutlery & drinks.

We will have limited outlets for crock pots if that is something you might be interested in, chicken & dumplings were a big hit along with that banana pudding. Keep in mind the number of people (aprox. 100) that will be attending when making your dish or dishes.

If you volunteer to bring drinks, paper products or cutlery please tell me the quantity you will bring, also the drinks will need to be on ice. I will also need 2 of the large drink coolers to make kool -aid & tea.

I will need volunteers to help with setting up the meal & cleaning up after.

Please PM me with Food in the subject line with what you plan to bring.

I will keep a running list to post from time to time.

Hey guys,

I had hoped to share good news over the weekend but the news has resulted with a loss and I ask that you all can keep our family in your prayers but most importantly the 2 special children we are caring for as there was a tragic tragic death in the family for them and at this moment my focus is on these 2 special blessings.. I wish I was more in the moode to talk chickens but alas this heart is weary...

I will be on more once things settle in the dust and until then I hope to see you all at POOPS

JEANNIE

You know what...I'm sure we BYC folks will eat anything that gets brought. And I'm sure there will be someone there that is diabetic tht would love it that there was something that they could eat and it wouldn't be bad for them.

Hey all..is everyone getting excited about POOPS. I was on here last night and thought ...OH MY...this doesn't look like a bunch of chicken folks about to have a get together.

Tell us if you are excited and then tell us WHY you are excited about POOPS.

Here's what I want everyone to do...if you want to that is....I'll start it and then you have to say what I said and add one thing to it.

Example: ....I'm excited about POOPS because....I'LL GET TO SEE MY BYC FRIENDS THAT I HAVEN'T SEEN FOR AWHILE.

Then the next person that post has to put what I said and then add one more reason. Let's see how many reasons that we can come up with. Just to liven this place up and for some fun. LOL

I've got to be gone for awhile but I'm going to check back in and see what fun all have had.

Have a Great Evening,

Hey Cuban, I enjoyed my visit to your neck of the woods immensly. We went to the BBQ place Saturday night and ate. Thanks for the tip. I never saw bigfoot but I heard oine walking around our tent. It was either a big foot or an armadillo. Its hard to tell sometimes.
We were up past Little Cedar on the timber land.
When we left Sunday afternoon there were some guys in a caant lot loading chickens. I don't know if they met there to swap or if one guy was set up there and the other people stopped to buy something.
I looked real close to see if it was you.
Sure is pretty country down that way. I love the pines.

Jaxon will quit asking me "when are we going to that chicken thing again?" and Jaxon and I will have a great day seeing all the varieties of fowl that we don't own.... yet.
