My husband and I want to thank each and everyone of you for the warm welcome @ P.O.O.P.S. Eric and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Everything from the new friends, food, drinks, the atmosphere (rain included), as well as the plethora of animal life was awesome! We are
already geared up for the next meeting. We even have all the eggs from the Auction and Raffle in the incubator; and are ready for our new
additions to the Ranch to start flapping their wings. Also the Feathered-Friends that we acquired are all ready being acclimated.....

We want to give a BIG thank you to Michael Daughterly for introducing us to the BYC family.... We cannot thank you enough, Michael.

P.S.

We wish we could have stayed longer... unfortunately soon after the Auction (just before the entertainment) we had gotten a fone call from our neighbor
stating that our Bull had gotten out. So, we had to leave... as soon as we got home it wasn't hard to find him because "Fella" (our Bull) had plowed down
fences starting from our West side pasture fence onto a couple of neighbors to the West.... only to get the new pretty Lil' heifer. All is well now - after a
full day of mending fences and apologizing profusely to our neighbors... all is well.

... next BYC get-together we'll stay longer.

We missed going to Jones' consignment sell today (Sunday) but I guess we'll catch it next month. ::: giggle :::

I hate that I missed the POOPS this spring. I had to work and then Kyle, My stepson went into the hospital so things happened at the last min. There were so many that I wanted to visit with and meet but........ maybe next time. Sooner, I need to get with you and get my shirt. I will PM you as to when we may get together. It sounds like I really missed it.

Well, we finally made it home about 7:30. Left KOA and went to see our grandkids and kids. Only got to see them for about 2 hours...had to put them down for their naps.

But was surely glad to see them for that long.

I don't now about the rest of you but I AM POOPSED!!! Sure had a great time but my tired is tired. I want to thank all POOPS folks that was so willing to participate in the entertainment. I know it wasn't exactly as planned...but oh well that's the way life goes.

A super duper big thank you to Teach for bailing us out of a rough spot and allowing us to make him into our little puppet. I love his attitude...just tell me what to do and I'll do it. Now if I can just get my DH to think that way...LOL

We would have been a whole lot sooner but had to run to Carla's and Gerald's and get our stuff for washing eggs that we orderd and forgot to get from them. Then we had to run back by the KOA to leave the cabin key that we forgot to leave when we left.

Hey teach...was it a black tail white jap roo that you were chasing out in the woods last night? If it was we tried to catch him when we went back by to leave the key. Well gues what ....he's still in the woods. Richard tried to catch him but he wasn't having any of it. I surely wanted to catch him to torment you with. LOL

Evening everybody : We finally made it home safe and sound around 3:00 pm today, went back to the camp ground this morning to do the last minute clean up and check out, and to hang out a little while longer and Visit with my bud's. I am really super tired and the three of us including Tilly took a nice long nap after we got things settled and had a good lunch.

I want to say we had a great time and it was well worth the long hard hours of preperation just to see everybody have such a wonderful time. as far as the organizers go we are all in agreement that a once a year annual event is all we can handle, more than that is just a little too much on us, I hope Ya'll understand. I want to thank those of you that went out of your way to welcome My Wife Laura & Daughter Alyssa into our chicken family, they truely had a great time and have told me they will not miss another one. Laura even wants to have her own screen name and join so she can post every now and again to say hi and continue the friendship which Ya'll so graciously extended to her.

Well this years POOPS went off without any major malfuntions how cool is that and I was happy to see so many new faces who have heard of the event and decided to come, and I have seen where a few of them have decide to post in our thread. I think the total was at last count 144 in attendance, the food was great as always and plenty of it. I was glad to see that we had allot more birds this year and the auctions went a little over in schedule, but we pulled it off in time for the raffle before dark set in. The indoor entertainment show was as usual a hoot, I was glad I didn't have to wear a dress this yr LOL but Roy was not so lucky, the girls cornered him and threatened him with spiders LOL. I was really happy for Grace during her special Gaduation ceremony, poor thing was shakin like leaf when I sprung the surprise on her, thank you all for making it extra special for her. I sold a few birds bought a few more, Laura won a few raffle items I gave her all my tickets to do with as she pleased. I even got to hold a new little baby and give it some of Al's special kisses too and Ya'll know how much I loves me some cute little baby's. Calling the auction was fun but after a few hours my voice was starting to show some wear so I handed off the batton for the finish, sorry folks just couldn't call any longer.

I will post more in the next few days and I want to see plenty of Pic's because I only saw 40 zillion camera's so don't be shy. I will post the Channel 4 TV special they did on us at POOPS as soon as I get it gathered up and they air it, I was told it will air for a few day's and PBS & OETA will even carry it along with several affiliates from all over the state, Monty is to be thanked for setting that up for us it was a good thing and will show chicken folks in a very good light.

Betsy - you are so right about our young people...

I ain't gonna mention who but...as y'all all know last fall was fairly rough for me...my dogs got most of my birds and my Dad passed. Well, I was feeding and watering birds yesterday and one of our young people walked up and handed me some quail eggs. She told me she had bought some of my birds last year and wanted me to have some of my old stock back...I don't know if y'all know how hard it is to keep working and not just bawl but I wanted to hug the stuffin's outta that sweet thing...wasn't sure how she would take to a big sweaty guy grabbing her but...I want to let all of y'all know that I really appreciated that act more than she will ever know...

We made it safe and sound, got the rental van unloaded and birds now have food and water. I can't thank everyone enough for allowing us to join you all! We had a blast and made it home with cool new stuff. Betsy, DeAnn has her showgirls sitting on the couch with her for a photo shoot she is clearly not as beat as me. It was great to meet everybody and put some faces with names. Monty we would have talked all day if you would have stayed, enjoyed or visit as well. Thanks again everyone i'm beat i'll post more tomorrow.
