Dande, wanted you to know my husband was MOST ipressed with Corey. He is amazed at her mataurity and businesslike manner in dealing with birds--as well as the depth of her knowledge.

Wow it has been a Great Weekend!!! Thanks to everyone that was involved in the planning and the making of this event happen!! We always go away wanting to stay just a little longer, lots of good memorys and great friends have been made the last couple years!!

OkBetsy, I wish I had had more time to spend with your husband. He is a very nice man and I am glad he came with you this time.
I hope he had a good time. I always worry that the family members get lost in the hoopla.
I hope he comes with you to our next meet up where and whatever that may be, so I can visit with him more.

Oh, he thoroughly enjoyed it! Poultry is not his thing, but he's a people person, and always fits in. He enjoys moving around on his own, as well as with me--and I'm sure you noticed he isn't shy about helping out when he sees a need. Don't know whether or not he'll come again; we're both pretty much homebodies, and he still works 6 1/2 days a week. When he gets home, he likes to STAY there! He is truly a nice person

I wish there were more time to enjoy it all and visit with everyone. Why does time fly when you're having fun?

Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet everyone or visit long enough. I never even had a chance to see what other people brought to sell. Fortunately, I didn't miss out on everything, because I was able to snag some great deals at the auction

Y'all Okies sure know how to put on a great party! Many thanks to the organizers and all that participated to make it such a fantastic and memorable event.

Okies are AWESOME! I wish every Okie on this site was able to make it there. We missed you! There's always next year though.

New eggs from POOPS are sorted and ready for the incubator. I'm looking forward to having more fluffy babies in a few weeks!

City - Yes. The Maran pullets were hatched in the middle of March, so that makes them about six weeks old.

Buster - The dark Cornish rooster is wonderful. The first time he crowed the entire barnyard went silent. It was one of those "You just had to be there" moments. I explained our arrangement to Al, so he's got my donation.

Victoria enjoyed visiting with established friends and making new ones. I second that.

Thanks, everyone, for being such a great group. We're looking forward to the next BYC gathering in earnest.

Porcupine is a wonderful name for a frizzle! I'm glad AnnaBell got him. I've never handled him much so he's not used to being held; but as for his personality, he was in with two other frizzle cochin pullets and two silkies, and by the way he posed and pranced at such a young age, I could tell he definitely thought that he was the cat's meow!

Made it home with success at a little after midnight last night. Then back up early to unload and then it was off to the junk sale at Jones where we have just came from.

POOPS was great and Teva and I enjoyed ourselves very much. Thanks to all that helped put this together.

Now it's off to feed, water, and gather eggs.
