So are you planning to do something else with a pocket knife to "sculpt the pinkie" back into shape.

I understand the tough construction worker image . . . but it isn't being a sissy to sew body parts back on within the 4 hour window when you have the most chance of being successful at reattachment because the skin hasn't died.

Yeah Maribeth, sisk him. Al, for such a wise man, that was not the brightest thing I've heard coming from you.

Al,
If we didn't care about you, we wouldn't fuss - we would just put the story in the "can you believe this?" category of our minds - sort of the same amusing place you put the "it sounded like a good idea at the time" stories.

OMG Al! What is it with you guys?

Ya know I just started using the circular saw last week and I was terrified enough of it already. +1 on the ER and THEN back to work. Maintains the tough guy image to me.

smfamf-Thanks, even the current reviews lean that way.

sjarvis00-TY. We're planning to come for National's in December. That's why I want the indoor pool. The Hampton says no pets, but I figured our birds would be dropped off Fri before check in and picked up Sunday after check-out already, so we should be good. There's not much choice with indoor pools. DH said I should look in some of the other towns, but not being familiar with things down there.....

Marybeth-The peacocks are wanted to intentionally annoy and drive people insane. Small town war. Couple of little old ladies idea of payback.

Along with painting their houses and outbuildings a zillion different gaudy colors, that sort of thing. I can't blame them. I'm actually on their side. Couple of haves with connections buy a place an start using nefarious means to wrest property away from a bunch of seniors...

Hey everyone, She called me a spring chicken. I think she is wanting something or she just doesn't realise that I am old enough to be her grandpaw.

The only town close to Shawnee that would have good hotels would Oklahoma City, its 30 to 45 minutes away from Shawnee depending on where in the City you are, but in the middle of December you never know what kind of weather( ice on the roads) we will have. I will look soon and let you know so you can pre book your hotel.

I know very little about peafowl, so I can't help you out there. I just wanted to say that I can hardly imagine how an upset peafowl could be more noisy then an upset guinea! Have these people looked into getting guineas instead? Guineas are also the best bug-eaters, if that's a problem where they live.

Al, You Should Have Called Me! I Have Stitched Up Dogs, Cats, Goats, Geese, Ducks, And Chickens. I Do Have Extra Horse Hair That I Use And A Human Would Have Been Quite An Experience And Quite Fun Too.

We Love Ya Man!

Our guinea fowl organization had its convention at their headquarters in Arkansas a couple of years ago in conjunction with another poultry group. It is a fabulous organization and visiting their headquarters and learning about them is an eye-opening experience. It is an educational facility with on-site courses and experiences, and is often visited by school children on field trips, as well as providing livestock and training to families in need. Their emphasis is also on sustainable agriculture and they have a HUGE cooperative garden. Well worth spending at least a couple of days there. There is a lot of information on their web site.
