There you go Faiery I knew you could get this bunch on a roll again!lol

City be careful traveling. Do like I do and check the craigslist for all the areas you will be going thru. Never know what kind of fowl you might find. Remember ther is always room for a few more even if you have to cull a dew of the old ones!Does Jack(fourlegged one) go with you?

Glad you're back Faerie - we really missed you! By the way, the two little RIRs are doing great - very sweet - seem to be adjusting well to being chickens. When I first got them I think they thought they were kittens - very social!

Thanks Wayne, but I am now more than full up in the chicken department - it's much better for me NOT to look to see what might be available! Titus the Jack Russell will go with me on this trip - he's a great rider and wonderful companion. My mom doesn't like animals much, but she makes an exception for Titus and lets me bring him - calls him her grand-dog.

My cat isn't gonna be happy with me next Tuesday. I'm taking him to the vet for grooming and a rabies shot. Why to the vet? Do you wanna wrestle a 19 lb muscled cat with all his claws and fangs?

That ought to keep those snakes away!
I don't think I've ever seen Blue Spangled OEGB before, they are really pretty!
Is that a Porcelain Pyncheon rooster in one of the sections?

I'd get a second opinion on the dog. That vet is obviously a pathological liar.

Or very nearesighted.

Actually what she said was "You are so very cute and you look really good."
I just naturally assumed she was talking about me.
I should have known better based on the "baby talk" tone in her voice.

I think the Blue Spangled are gorgeous!

They are one of the varieties that are hard to take pictures of. They are much prettier in person.

On the Pyncheons, we have 4 pullets and 1 cockerel. There are 2 Porcelains pullets. The one cockerel is the regular Millie variety with a nice tassel. One of the pullets also has a nice tassel (Millie) and everyone else is slick. So I guess what I'm trying to say is we have one good Millie pair (for showing). It's a start and we have the genetics for Porcelain too.

That darn snake got two birds yesterday. Last night, the Chihuahuas were on the porch barking like crazy. Hmmm, the snakes have smothered bigger animals than them so they probably have the right idea. I found the snake swallowing one of the quail. Came back in and got flashlights and other tools. As soon as I moved the quail pen that snake spit out the quail and went running. Corey was madder than a wet hen. You would of thought that girl was a redhead! After I killed, she even had to pick up the hoe and take a few chops. Of course, anything Corey does Liz has to do as well. So I guess this is a family affair.

Snakes: 5 birds
Us: 4 snakes

I hate that they are ahead of me!
