Mom, Sister, and Sister's kids are visiting. Lots of help with the chickens! It's neat to have folks who "want" to carry water buckets and feed buckets. They are on vacation, but they act like it's a treat to help me.
I get to make a chicken run tomorrow, and then we're setting up the slip-n-slide for my niece and nephew. I hope we can find a nice level run so that everyone can make it all the way to the end of the slide. If anyone knows how to keep the grass off a slip-n-slide, let me know. I've mowed, raked, and raked some more, but I'm thinking we'll have grass everywhere as soon as the kids start sliding.
Chuck - The bareback pad is blue. I put it in my car when we got back from CVille. Next time we meet up, ask for it so that your kids can have it. I'm jealous they've got a horse. Maybe next year we'll get one too.
One of my Barnevelder hens went broody today. I've never had a Barnevelder go broody before. I'm thinking about giving her some eggs tomorrow. She needs to move out of the big pen anyway, since her broody nature is keeping my other hens out of the nest box. I hate to find eggs under the coop. Yuck.
Donnie - See you tomorrow. I'll holler if I get lost.
