Morning everyone. We are getting your rain and its nice! we really need it.

Hang in there Stimp, prayers for you.

Robin Poser is getting beautiful! Not up on my breeds, what do you think he/she is?

Pulled up the first patch of corn yesterday and put a bunch in the freezer.Have to tie up the tomatoes today, the rain caused some to fall over.

I "thachted" the roof of my pigeon loft with the corn stalks. Its roof is the corrugated tarpaper you get from Lowes and really gets hot so I layed all the stalks on it,one to dry them so I can burn them, and two to shade the roof. Its working, the temp dropped 20 degrees inside!Told the wife its the Tiki look! She wasn't real impressed!lol

Wow it sounds like Stimpy has a hard road ahead...but he is a born fighter and will pull through! We will keep him and his family in our prayers.

I saw a brand new fawn this morning on my way to work...so darn cute, huge eyes blinking in the bright sun and lots of spots...and a nice black nose! It couldn't have been more that a few days old...sweet thing. It was a nice thing to see on my way in to the city.

We managed to avoid any storms last night and I am so glad...maybe we can dry up a bit so I can mow!

Wow Maribeth...how many muscovies do you have now? Sounds like you have a good start on a sizeable flock! You go girl!

Good one Wayne! Tell her it is a smaller, less well known version of "South Pacific" for pigeons

Morning!

Doodle - The smaller of my Barnevelder cockerels weighs 5 1/2 lbs. He feels rock solid when you pick him up. I expect him to gain two or three more pounds before next February. The green in his tail is just starting to show. I think this one will be in the breeding pen next year.

So far just the 2 chicks I'm hoping the rest are just late I guess I need to pull those two soon and move to a brooder one is 2 days old today and the other was hatched yesterday, I wonder if they have interfered with the rest of the hatch by moving the eggs while they've been moving around among them? Any suggestions?

This is the link to my BYC page with a few more pic's on it :)

Listen, people. I'm trying to catch up, but you keep posting links to craigslist ads and other wildly interesting sites, which causes me to become distracted from my BYC mission. I just spent an inordinate amount of time on the papercrete site, thanks Les, so I'm still not caught up, but at least I have you all to blame for it!

Mathew, I see from the number of your posts that you have been on BYC for awhile and are just now finding your way over to the Okie thread. Welcome! It appears from your other posts that you have lots of experience raising baby chickens. So, what breeds do you have now and what are your goals with your current breeds?
