This weekend I may be able to get one of those tractors out! Actually DH is finishing up the turkey pen. I am glad we didn't get them out in it last weekend's straight-line winds...those poor turkeys would have been saying "Oh H*LL no!!"

I would like my fello Okies to take a moment, If you raise poultry as pets, or for your own meat. I want you to take 10 min of your life to understand why my dream is to support this state in a more productive product. Our kids are our future. WHo remembers the times when 11 year olds look like 11 year olds not 19 year olds. This is caused by our Government and the majority of poultry farmers who are on a high scale Poultry operation.
It is up to us to stop these disease spreading inhumane resources of our Poultry Production. the only way we can accomplish this as Oklahoman's is to Not support the local Grocery stores and supply outlets. Most everyone has a dream. My dream is to Grow a healthy stable quality meat that We don't have to worry about it when were sitting at the dinner table. I am not here to flame the industry Or promote my sales I just want to take time out to share With you my discoverys and Objections to the reasons I chose to Make a difference by building my dreams one brick at a tme. Thank you for your Support oklahoma.
I do not advise anyone to click on this link if you are not ready to face reality It is very graphic and sad.

Matt--I have always believed living on a farm and raising my own animals for food or as pets has been far healthier for everyone in my family and for the creatures themselves. I am an all-out farmgirl and have the grit to prove it! Never mind that the grit is under my finngernails!

someones got to tell them the truth. And what better way then the old fashion saying, "Actions speak louder then words" I am just trying to help people one life at a time. You all seem to understand me here, And I don't really get to express my my feeling much As my community is bias and Unsupportive for the most part. All I seem to get here are laughs, So i just toss a nod and a smile then say yessir, yessum, and hand them a card and say call me when you want fresh eggs and chickens that aren't crammed with steriods antiboitics and hormones. I will stop the rambling turning a old hay barn into a broiler house with a free range yard will post before and after picks Just as soon as electric Company hooks up the pole we just placed

Matt...ya gotta start somewhere! And, I do believe that as the US continues it's "green" path...you will be hearing more and more people say that they are interested in what you provide.

In California, the green movement has been going on for decades...and you would be welcomed with open arms. They are much more cautious about environmental impact and health conscious than most folks here. Heck, I never saw so much fried food in one state in all my life until I moved here. It is harder to eat healthy at restaurants here...just MHO.

Man its hot outside!@ We have a heat index of 105 today. I went out and made sure everything had water and then jumped in the pool to cool off. My corn thatch roof on the pigeon loft sure has cut donw the heat indide . Thats good ,I have about thirty-forty young birds roaming around in there on the floor. I planted gourds on the outside flight pen. Last night as I went in something rubbed my shoulder. It didn'r register at first then I thought "Snake"! I whrilled around but it was only one of those long snake gourds that was hanging down from the top of the pen. ITs 2 ft long and wasn't there two days ago! Now they are dropping down everywhere! Looks like a good crop of them!lol.

Oh no...more "wearable air" again outside. I didn't know the wind wasn't blowing though...that makes it always seem worse. I am going to try to mow out by the road tonight and the last little patches that I missed yesterday. Even still, will probably take me almost an hour to do that. But if it's gonna rain, I have to do it because the lions hide in it!

Does anyone know if the Jones auction is still going? I have it on my auction list, but a member just said "I was under the impression the Jones sale had been shut down more than a year ago? Is it going again?"
