That sounds great Scooter, My Cornish are doing well better than the others in this humidity, and they have resumed laying after a short hiatus as is their practice. My Turkey's on the other hand aren't so lucky, suffered some losses and a chick or two who weren't thriving but that is normal and I am not overly concerned as nature is the best cull factor.

Well I am going to try to post some pictures of my project for yesterday. (it was really nice yesterday, under the shade tree)

Grace has so many chicks (all beautiful) that I thought I would give her a little more room. This is the A Frame style I have switched to for the time being. This one it 8' long 4' wide at the ground and 42" high. I put doors on both ends for easy access. I also added a couple of roosts to this one.
Expanded view before all of the cover goes on:

One end showing door. (both doors are the same size)

maybe the jr show and showmanship.only if you want to help.

Yeah, I can help with that stuff, but since I will be entering/exhibiting in those there may not be much I can do...

Still can't manage outside activities. Feeling really bad for those that have to face that heat! Trying a little solidarity by cranking on the oven for a little bit of egg depletion work.
So far: 2 loaf pound cakes; 1 bundt chocolate pound cake; a batch of cheddar cheese puffs and a batch of regular puffs (filling to be determined). 1 1/2 dozen eggs down. 3 more to go.

In the plans: quiche for the freezer and made some tart dough for fruit pies.

Evening everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your Hot Fudge Sunday or is that actually to be spelled Sundae ha ha ha

We are on a lazy do as you please kinda day!... Jason scored a free 32' fifth wheel trailer... but we dont plan to use it for anything except to tear it apart and convert into a trailer to haul big ol round bales. It sure is a "beauty" full of possibilities as we hope to salvage as much stuff from it as possible... like the windows for the coop and what not.... interesting how any one if given the chance can totally make trash into treasure. Although we have been accused by some that we are hillbillies that accumulate junk? Hello so we dont want to spend $$$$ to go buy a brand new trailer when Jason is fully capable to making a home made one. What cant be salvaged by us for another use will be recycled ect...

The little one you see on the side is the free one we got the other day we are converting into a play house for the kids.. right now its being aired out... hence for the "cushions" you see in the grass

The frame is not stout enough once it is stripped off. By the time you spend the money and time adding channel iron and doing the welding you could have bought a new trailer outright.

I have seen many try to do the same thing only to fold the trailer up the first time they try to load it. Most of the strength in those trailers is in the lumber on top and not the frame.
