I plan to get pic's today, right now I just have 1 turner in it but I made it with the capacity to hold 6 turners or about 240 eggs, I just needed to see if it would even work first. I put in a bunch of really cool bells & whistles on it. Lets see a remote water fill system, built in candler that even works great, 4 thermometers, 2 digital & 2 humidity monitors, 4" osilating fan, big heat source for quick heat ups, 3 viewing windows, 2 doors, pull out hatching drawer, seperate light for viewing when in off cycle, oak cabinet. Just a few things like that. I am really happy with the way it turned out. it heated up in less than 15 min and when it cycles it only takes 4 min to get back up to temp.

Hey Al, I bought a CD of a home made Sportsman like incubator for $12 on line, it is very informative and has a list of parts and everything, may try making one of these and my refrigerator bator also. Well I gotta head out and get some pens finished and some chickens moved around and the outside brooder set up and get the pullets out of the house before I come home and we are having (Quail???) for supper, or the wife skins me first !!!! Lynn, I seen that same info sheet on ebay (well maybe it's the same ) anyway it was 12.00
and I was thinking it might be a good deal, the problem it that it had fixed racks so you would have to use a turner. I hope Al saved the Blueprints so He can make a lot of money on them..
forget the eggs sell the plans..

I thought was funny ROFLMAO I can't stop laughing.
"The Master Bator" But I don't think that will fly, but it is funny. I will let everybody choose the name once I post the pic's. I know the suspense is killing you guy's, it is killing me too I want your input to see if I screwd it up or not.

Blue prints ( in a Mexican accent ) we no need no stinkin blueprints, LOL. The idea started out small and has morphed into a monster, I have kept track of the cost and I am afraid to add them up

. But since you guy's were egging me on with the build it bigger and put big screen tv"s and such on it, I felt I could not let you down LOL.

Have been wondering about Ronnie, too. TJ says he thinks
Skyla was on the bus Friday, so don't guess they're gone on
vacation. Maybe busy tending puppies. Gees, he's less than
a mile away, so may just drop by on my next trip to town
and tell him that we're missin' him. Need to meet him,
anyway.

Slightlycracked - OK, the white/black cochin cross - Bill has
studied all this stuff and says......................

After this first mating - save your best pullets and put them
back under your white roo. That batch should give you some
Blues....You should get 50% Blue, 25% White, and 25%
Splash. Might be something to think about.

Beyond that batch.....if you ended up with a nice Blue Splash
roo - cross him back with a Blue pullet.....should make 100%
Blues.......

All this "intellectual" stuff is beyond me, I'm just the "go for"....

Poultryand bees - The little OEG hen seems to be fine.......
no more eggs yet, so we're watching her closely. Hopefully,
now that we kinda know what to do....we won't have to do it...LOL

Have a good one !
