Your day sounds like mine, except we start classes next Thursday.

I teach Art at Jackson Middle School in Oklahoma City. Where is your school?

I must confess that I am not from Oklahoma.
Actually I grew up on a farm in Michigan and have only lived in Oklahoma fro 6 years. My husband just retired from the Navy. He wa stationed at Tinker Air Force Base, before that we were in Coronado, California for 8 years, before that we met in Japan. I was working as an English teacher there and taught Art for a college that had a satalite campus at the bases in the Tokyo area.

It sounds like you have a broad base of experience from which to draw, when teaching.

I am with Sooner - in my opinion, there is a special place in heaven for good teachers.

If you are bringing anything to sell, the earlier the better. I think that they are starting the sale of stuff other than poultry at 4 this week, instead of 2 pm, with the poultry related items to begin selling at 5 pm.

If I am taking something to sell, I try to get there by 3 so that it sells earlier in the auction. In any event, I try to be there by 4:15 so there is time to look around, snag a table at the back in front of a fan, get a snack, visit, etc.

If you are coming in from Blanchard, you go all the way through town on HYW 62 and then turn South (left) on South County Line Road. You will have just passed the intersection of HYW 62 and HYW 76 and there are rodeo grounds on the corner at S. County Line Rd.

Thanks Sooner, and P&B, I will be there a bit early still trying to decide which rabbits I need to load up and labling cages for breed, gender and age but should have around 15 or so to sell, I'd like to find a couple of Buff Orpington roo's to buy while I'm there If anyone knows wether there will be some there I would bring a couple RR Reds to sell I just hate to load them up in this heat if I don't need to but would like to replace them. I also want to find about six more Buff hens later if anyone has some they want to part with

LOL, you are an okie now!

Sooner you be safe driving. Hope the day goes as well as it can.

Jeannie you need to have your husband walk the perimeter and "mark" his territory just like the dog did! May have to do it after dark to keep from getting arrested! And be sure he doesn't like up the electric fence!

I had a chicken take a water bath yesterday, just like the wild birds do! I have never seen a chicken do that before! She has been standing i n her water bwol and I guess she decided what the heck!lol
