Wayne thanks for the thoughts today! We are on the road now, have I told you guys how much I love technology? This will sure make the trip go faster & keep my mind busy.
Barnswallow - so sorry about Jackson - that is hard. I've lost lots of animals, but the one that sticks with me the most is the first dog we lost when I was a little kid. It was Sugarfoot - a German Shepherd mix - we'd just moved down to Texas and our trailer was kind of close to the road. One morning my little brother looked out the front window and hollered, "Dad, Sugarfoot is lying in the road!" He'd been hit by a car. I remember Dad walking out to pick him up and he way he cradled the body in his arms. Tears were running down his face as he carried the dog's body out back to bury. That's the first time I saw my Dad cry.
(I'm sure he cried a lot more a few years later when I became a smart-mouthed rebellious teenager.)
RonnieAt - good to see that you checked in!
mjgigax - I agree with Sooner - you are an Okie now!
Work here as usual...grooming dogs. Customer brought a pregnant Pom in earlier to be groomed. Said he didn't know when the puppies were due. Guess what! They're due today! We've got 1 puppy so far, if the owner doesn't hurry, we'll have more.

I've had two black rat snakes raiding my hen house this year and last night I killed the fifth copperhead in my yard A couple weeks ago also caught a rattlesnake in the driveway, The copperheads sure seem thick this year

I saw where there were a total of 4 puppies - with 2 born after the owner picked up the dog. Don't you just know that the poor mama dog is thinking "I am never going to get into the car again. I got in last time and came home with 4 babies to take care of.
"
You certainly didn't have a boreing day today! Did the poor dog get her "hair done" before she gave birth so that she would look pretty for the maternity pictures?
