Thank You all for your prayers, one of the girls that passed happened on the playground at my sons school, he did not witness it but was very concerned. Since I have been on here last we have also found that the Chief of the Wyandotte Tribe, Leaford Bearskin, we found out that his house burnt to the ground and lost his dog but he and his wife was fine. Now I am kinda worried

Anybody know where to move to safety???? In Oklahoma!!

Finally settling in after the long drive back from Fletcher. Everything has been put to bed but me. Saw some Blue Wheaten Old English and some American Games that would have looked awful nice in one of my runs, but coming home to an incubator full of peeping quail chicks was a happy reminder of why I cleared out those runs in the first place. I'm hoping to have quail of every color in this hatch; the Manchurian Goldens are adorable and I saw one or two so far that may be whites.

Maybe the insurgents in Afganistan will decide to end the war early so Bil can come home and build me more chicken coops, so I'll have room for all the chickens I want to get...

It wont be long now tel it cool's of it's ben so hot. Macy an my brother's girl brook are going to Sulfer this mor. To a gamefowl meeting it start's at noon. It take's 2hr's to get ther from hear.
We went to the swap ther in Sulfer on sunday morning for year's an sold are coondog's an chicken's. But it's ben 7or8 year's probly sence we have ben ther..
We would pull in at 4 an they would be a line of car's back'd up the hill to get in . I would get out with my flash light an walk from car to car to see wat people had to sale or trade . A guy i no from marlow go's ther every sunday an take's his bird's still. He said some time's they are 5or6 or more with bird's back in the spring it was realy packd,
I dont think i seen Sulfer on Oklahoma auction's an swap's i will have to look an see..
Jason Glass calld this mor an said they had about 25 bird's at the co.fair in Cyril last night. Chickasha is coming up this weekin . The Alex bunch is over the chicken's an rabbit show. They said it was a good turn out last Year.

I am just glad I finally reached good weights to be able to process the heat really affected there growth there for a while. My test subject cornish are doing twice as good as the first batch. I am looking for them to be ready to go at 10 -12 weeks. I know cornish x usually take 4-6 weeks but I free range mine so I lose some of that caged weight gain but IMO there alot healthier then The first group I tried off and on to pen.
