That reminds me, Jim one of the owners of Blanchard kept refering to one bird as a Silver laced Wyndott Cochin and was sure that was right. Of course the BYC crew sitting in the back had some fun with that one, and we continued to miss name birds on purpose during the auction, Them silly Okie BYC'ers

Guess you had to been there.

I am sure they have the date set already since this year it's their turn at hosting the National's but I haven't heard yet. Perhaps Grace knows. At least we get to see you guy's.

Chuck : Carl & Stephani == Sjarvis raise some really fine Cochins in most colors and some others that I can't recall at this time.

It just wasn't the BYC'ers who caught on too that line. I guess that is why I have a pullet that has been laying for a yr and she has not gotten any taller, just laying more eggs. I was talking to a very tall young man who told me that he bought some Buff Orps that they sold as hens and one day he heard one of them crowing.

Reading your post I think I just had a look into my future - how did I slip into the chicken abyss? I looked into the eyes of a fuzzy little chick. How was I to know they actually are evil witch doctors disguised as baby chickens, Of course I got no help from any of you.

Sure you do............. we look after our own at the sale barn and will help in any way with Q's and proper ID. It is and always will be buyer beware, you have to know your birds but sometimes it works in your favor if they miss ID a bird's breed or gender and you do and nobody is paying attention, but that is few and far between.

I will ask Grace to get you the information on the man in Idabell that raises Cochins. I know he is a great guy ( I don't remember his name on BCY) and has some fine Cochins. Also TJsNana and Bill have some fine Cochins but I am not sure who has any extra for sale right now because we are just going into showing season.
