Sooner--- it's really easy you just say N-O ! It is after all one of the first words we learn as children....unfortunately we forget how to use it!

I'm bad about not using it too!!

Me toooooooo!

The secret is to say "No" at that same time you are shaking your head. My problem is that my mouth says "No" while my head is nodding "yes"

I wonder how they will fit the poultry show AND the pigeon show in the building? It was a tight fit last year and it wasn't the NATIONAL poultry show

One of them died. I wormed them when the spanish in the same cage started dying, but one of the cochins still died. (one of the reasons it is important to quarantine new birds for several weeks to be certain they are healthy). I don't know whether it was worms or something else, but am continuing to watch them for other signs of illness. The only symptom has been unthriftyness then death.

I call it unthriftyness when they just stand around with their head hunched into their shoulders with their feathers all ruffled at the neck because their head isn't upright. They usually don't seem very interested in eating or drinking when they get that way.

As Al said yes we raise cochins, Standard Cochins. We have Black, Blue, Partridge, and Buff. We are currently out of Buff and will be for a while, my rooster died so I am on the hunt for a new Buff Rooster.

Good evening all!!! We have been so busy it has been forever since I last posted. I have been lurking though, just so I can keep up with the board. Got to go to Blanchard yesterday, but didnt stay long. Met a few of the newer BYC faces, MMPoultry and MJ.

How has everyone been?
