Yes lots of color, I really missed the birds when I sold out last year, but my pens were in bad shape and I was not able at that time to make the repairs and it wasn't fair to my birds, I have learned a few things about my little
friend, he doesn't like heat, it is located in my head where it effects my eyes..they are getting worse all the time
I got me some more chickens and I am feeling better.

when you get those worked out let me know, I would love some, I can always find more pen space

Sixteen turtles and counting. I don't know if that means I have a great trap or just too dang many turtles!

Maybe both.

Thanks for the tips on selling turtles, Mike. I might just get the necessary license and do that.

The dirt work is finished and the forms for our concrete slabs went up, in spite of today's rain. I was thrilled to see all the muddy boots lined up inside our horse trailer when I got home from work. They were a testimony to the hard-working crew we hired. If it doesn't rain again tomorrow, they should be pouring the slabs. If it does rain, the work will be set back one day. In either case, I'm going to have my chicken barn ready before the first snow!!!! I think I'm in heaven. DH can't understand my giddiness. He doesn't remember all the mornings last winter I wrestled myself into my insulated coveralls, donned my headlamp and waterproof gloves, and headed for the pens carrying a snow shovel. I do. This will be a winter of unfrozen water dishes, dry feathered legs, and lights above my head.

Be sure to post pictures of the new facility when it is done.
How do you plan to keep the water dishes from freezing? Electric light bulb heaters under the water container or something more fancy?
