Thank you I really try Lesson learned here for me is if you dont have a 100% fool proof Quarinteen with proper ventilation and proper housing then you dont need to bring birds into the flock. Also never let your cornish x rock mingle with other chickens. you might raise 100 of them with no problems but it only takes once to have a spread. Also I learned if your not 100% sure of the breed if there is any doubt in your mind what so ever... Don't buy them!! I have to give alot of credit to the state of Oklahoma for there fast responce and Quick testing procedure. I was very glad to have such fast responce in getting me cleared. now just to continue my medication phase get past my withdraw periods and resume life as normal. Can I hatch eggs that are medicated since I cant eat them?

Well the girls have been in a heat light brooder since arriving 1 wk ago, they are 1.5 wks old and getting into everything they can reach anyway, so I thought they might enjoy a field trip to the grassy back yard. Goes to show you what I know, they were not impressed

I'll try again after work this week, tues or so

MM - I've been following your posts. I'm glad to hear everything turned out well.

NNBreeder - I'll be looking for your posts regarding Coryza...??spelling??? So many people on this thread have educated me about poultry illness and injury. I'm grateful for the open sharing of information.

DH is taking me to the state fair tomorrow to see the poultry show at 9:00 a.m. This is big news in two ways: first, he's not a morning person, and we're going to have to leave home before seven to get there by nine; second, he's not a poultry guy, so his suggestion we go is like finding a twenty in what I thought was an empty coin purse. After the poultry we're going to see the artwork. About a dozen of my students entered, and I promised I'd take pictures of their work on display. I hope I find at least one with a ribbon pinned to it. Maybe next year I'll find some time of my own to finish a painting or a drawing in time to compete.

Robin - Do you have anything on display at the fair? I want to be sure to look for it if you do.

Yeah!!!!!! I have been sweating it out following your crisis. "Stressful" doesn't begin to describe what you have been thru.

Wasn't someone talking about wanting a gypsy vanner horse the other day. Look on GOLSN,its a classified forum here in Tennessee, they have a beautiful one listed for $800.Don't know if that is high or not but the horse sure looked worth it!

Had 8 bantams hatch out today, four were nns! two were nns but had all their feathers.the rest were wayndottesGoing to Amish chicken sale tomorrow. Can't wait to see all the birds anf critters. Proably won't come back with any but its fun seeing them all and dreaming about when I get on the farm. I guess I will have to schedule visits back to when the sales are!.
