Well... it's cold and windy... last week it was hot and windy... ya gotta love Oklahoma...

Hens have no clue...they look at me like, "what the h3ll?" I tell them I am not responsible for the weather.... peck off....!

Teach it sounds like ya might get blasted up there... send some down here could ya...We'll take water any way we can get it!!! Even frozen.....

luvs don't forget to add my enchis to the list... I am going to try to make a couple big pans of them.... with my famous fire roasted green chili sauce.... I need to hear from you guys...do you want mild or spicy salsa? I could just make both... what's the preference? Is someone bringing Maalox?

I understand the slimey okra thing! Love it fried and in gumbo but boiled is just wrong!

I am hoping to make it a weekend if not just the day! I would love to get some new babies or egg at the very least. Hubby & kids think I am crazy now with all the projects I have started.

Will Stimpy be there? I bet he is a riot!

Good afternoon everyone! It's a bit chilly here today...I wish spring would stay around for more than a few days at a time.

My chickies are doing well...happily tossing their pine shavings into their waterer! My eggs are back to being turned regularly...but I'm still rather pessimistic on whether they will actually survive and hatch or not.

My husband has an appt with the urologist on Monday in McAlester....they want to put a stent in the ureter....egads. Until then he is living on Lortab.

Work is hectic as usual...wish I was independently wealthy and didn't have to go to a job everyday!

Ok I just made a post and it disappeared I have no idea where it went.
I will be making a post later about POOPS but it might be lengthy and I don't have time right now to do it so I will come back later.
Anyone with info on POOPS about coming and bringing stuff let Luvstogarden know. Also for the swap, there is a seperate thread but I don't know what it is off hand. If you go to one of Graceful Bantams posts, it is listed there.

Gerald went to collect eggs this morning and found a wild turkey hen stalking our turkey pens. She runs to the creek every time we get within a few hundred feet of her, but returns to the pens just as soon as she doesn't see us. Gosh, I wish I knew how to catch her. I guess maybe if she roosts somewhere nearby ... we might be able to catch her when she's asleep.

She sure looks like our Narragansett hens ... I'm thinking she could even be a cross of Narragansett. I'd take pic's of her, but I left my camera at my daughter's house.
