Don't know about the anti-venom. I've not been brave enough to find out first hand.

I usually try to stay away from the end that bites but like to know my options.

Gotta a question for you other addicts out there...should I stop incubating?

Hey, I am south, sort of, can I go ?

A pygmy rattler is what bit Tina's husband Lynn's a year or so ago and he almost lost his hand. Of course he waited a day before going to the doc.

Depends on whether 1) You have all the birds you want, 2) you have a good setup for brooding chicks, 3) you want to get some pullets started so that you will have egg layers this spring and 4) you are a "quitter."
I seem to recall that you are not a quitter.

Got one for you crazy teacher types out there. I have a kid that is just a little disruptive...got him some stress ball to mess with and a few other things. Well he still has to tell jokes constantly...so I give him the first 10 minutes of class for his stand-up routine. The other kids don't laugh. Decides he doesn't need to do his work...bad idea with me...I will hunt you down and drag you into my room to get stuff done. He sics his aunts on me. I ain't scared. Inform them he can do better than zeros..they don't have anything to say...ask me about his 10 minutes and inform me how that isnt working...ask them for their advice...yup..they ain't got nothing to say...it is awful caring more than family

Hello all. I meant to be here earlier, but work ran late.

I was really excited today and didn't even have time or a chance to let everyone know. My Serama hen has hatched out some more babies. At least one of them had some feathered feet. I know that the cochin that I just sold had some naturally fertile eggs. There is also an itty bitty chick that is smaller than my thumb. I suppose it is gonna be a teeny tiny Serama. The mama is on the small size.

Hey Roy, did the eggs that I sent home with you ever do anything?

Jack's old cat, Garfield, has been missing for more than a week. He was 17 years old. That is really remarkable for an indoor/outdoor cat around here. He cought a squirrel this summer and brought it in Jacks' house and hid it behind the TV. Jack's dogs found it. Garfield had to show up all the young cats and all dogs in the neighborhood, including mine.
Jack said that when Garfield was young, he would mess with the pigeons in their coops. Jack put a can of rocks on the top of a coop and the next time he saw Garfield mess with the pigeons, he shot the can off the coop. It made a very loud racket and the cat never ran so fast. In all the years since Garfield never messed with a single bird including tubs of growing chicks in his garage.
I don't dare take that risk and my tub. Its got a hardware cloth cap held down with cinder blocks.
