the usual shuffling for position is going on, a little unnerving in a shed- you hear a flutter flutter bang! didn't count on that- naive me thought they'd all be thrilled with the extra room and quit picking on each other

We will go up to Mazie to the amish craft show & tool around but other not really. I would like to start painting but I don't know if I will have time.

It will be all inside. I need to put the primer on so I can move on to painting.

What do you have going today?

Mom (73) is visiting from Taos, NM today. We're taking her to lunch, and then she's resting a bit before she starts her drive home. She makes the drive in two 7 hour days. I drive straight through, and it usually takes me 12 hours, but Mom has difficulty with night driving after having her eye surgeries. She's doing great, but I always worry.

Wow that is great, I hope I can still do that at 73. I can understand your worry! When will she leave tomorrow?

I'm not sure about her departure. For the last four days she's been visiting with our oldest daughter, who lives in Bartlesville. She wanted to spend some time with her great grand daughters (12 and 2). I think they wore her out. She's bringing me some family photos and we'll spend a few hours with the chickens. She's not familiar with bantams, and every time she calls I seem to be in the barn with them. She's not had a pet in a million years, but I think she might consider keeping some bantams. She watched some hedge hogs for a lady who keeps them. That was interesting. She seems to be able to communicate with the magpies that steal from her back porch. I think a pair of bantams would be good for her.

Wouldn't that be neat if she got a pair or trio of bantams! That is wonderful that she went to stay with her great grandchildren, that would be Victoria correct?

My mother, Grandmother, myself & DD will run around today, I look forward to it because I don't know that Grandma will be able to do this next year.
