Strangely, I actually got a job years and years ago because I was the only applicant who could work the algebra problem on the preemployment test for an insurance company. It was a fairly good job with a TERRIBLE boss, and I soon got a much better one. I think that's about the only time I've used mine except to help my kids with their algebra homework!

I haven't done anything yet.
I guess I should get on the ball huh?
Last year, some of us met early for breakfast at IHOP. Cracker Barrel is better but would be slower.
I can reserve the room at the Mexican place for a late lunch. We ate around one or so.
Other than that we just kinda all gathered up at the show.
I appreciate the volunteer offer but I don't think we will need to have to do too much.
Do you any suggestions? If so please let me know.
I will post a list about lunch and breakfast.

Here we go, the official lisitng for who is coming to the National show on December 11.
I am open to suggestions as to where and when we meet for breakfast and lunch.
If someone knows of someplace different than what we did last year please let me know.
The Mexican place, Abuelita Rosa's, is where we had lunch. It is right on 177 only a few miles from the show and close to I-40. They also let us use a banquet room so we could be our silly chicken selves. I am open to other places if anyone knows one but that was easy peasy as Al would say!
What time for breakfast? I think you can get into the show around 7:00 A.M. Last year we met at IHOP around six but I think some were there earlier.
Again we are open for suggestions to another place if you know one.
Steph and Carl, you guys live close so maybe you can offer other ideas.
NOTE: The poultry supply place (Smith's I think) that has a booth at the show will have a lot of stuff there but they sell out of some things quickly. I found that out last year when I went back and what I wanted was gone. Go early and buy what you want while you are there.
I don't know if they are gonna have a bigger sale room this year or not. The one they usually use may not be big enough this year.
I will tweak and update this a few times each day.
Sooo who is coming? Let me know!

I'll be there Friday afternoon through closing time Sunday. Am bringing quite a few good birds to sell, as well as several to show.

Last I heard, they were planning to use the arena area between the two big rooms for the sales area. It is much, much larger and more convenient than the usual one.

I'm up for breakfast and probably lunch, but will need to be there on the early side for breakfast so I can get on to feed, water, and groom my birds. Didn't go to breakfast last year because I had two small showgirl babes that I didn't dare leave in the motel room or car, and couldn't bring into the restaurant. Looking forward to it this year!

Getting excited it's getting so close!

Thank you! Do you live in that area?

Yes and actually I'm by a phone book now and the # is 405-878-9844 and the addy (in case anyone needs to map it) is 37304 45th St., Shawnee, OK

I am very excited the national show is so close to my house this year, just a couple of months after we started keeping chickens!
