There are certainly a bunch of auction addicts on this forum and I sure some of us were wondering about auctions tomorrow night, since the weather is rather atypical for March - even in Oklahoma where the weather changes constantly

Years ago when I was running retrievers in hunting certifications test, I liked to watch all the great dog's come through and compete. I had some good Chocolates back then.

Sonya - those guys were not fighters...more like wallowing hippos! I love how Teddie trashes folks!

Miss Dottie - good cooking is HOT! Best way to a man's heart! Tall Blondes just get the eyes! so guilty of both

Al - I hear what ya mean...I have a horrible yellow lab. He is so old he can't load in the truck anymore but when he was young we ran all ove rhte place together. Stupid thing didn't like to retrieve and I didn't have it in me to make him. He would go get a dove if it fell in heavy cover but dropped it as soon as he made eye contact and came to an opening. If an animal was still flopping he would put a paw on it and sit there until you came to get it. Even held rabbits for me...I did that after I figured he was never going to be a great hunting dog...good buddy though!

Lies? I only tell things that can't be backed up!

I trained all of mine on frozen doves, they all had great noses on them, trained to the whistle and hand signals, had to be for the trials. At their peaks they could retrieve 20 lbs king ganders all day long. super great loyal buddies.

Good night, Okies.
The weather on the computer looks like the rain has let up for a while. We will have to see what falls overnight. It is still above freezing - barely - so at least I won't have to thaw critter water dishes tonight - but I bet they will be frozen in the morning.

I know exactly where high bridge road is....one of my patients lived right across from Highbridge Church before she passed just a couple of months ago. I'm on the other side of town out on Lutie Road...if you follow main street across town, there is a road that makes a Y off of main street and that is Lutie Road and we are a little less than a mile down that road on the left hand side....I've got a barn red coop with a 12 foot run attached to it...do you go to highbridge church? I work for May's Housecall Home Health as a registered nurse.

I'm not from around here either...I'm originally from California...lived in WV for about 10 years during my first marriage, then moved back to CA for a few years and then moved out here since my parents had relocated to OK. I lived in Shawnee for a couple of years before marrying my husband and moving to Wilburton, since this is where he grew up. I've been here about 5 years now.

It's a nice little town....Robbers Cave State Park makes it a fantastic place for people to come and visit and camp and stuff.

I'm glad to meet ya!!!

I just did an experiment that will allow me to keep the temp up in my bator should the heat go out. My incubator is tall enough to hold my propane lantern, that thing throws off some good heat, but I will have to take it in and out as the temps flow, but I can save them if need be.

OH, Al....I love retrievers...I had a great black lab, who was so smart and just a great family dog...he was hit by a car last year when he escaped from the yard and we had to have him put down...he was the BEST dog ever..I sure miss him. I'd really love to get a chocolate or yellow lab puppy...been keeping my eyes out for a while now. Right now we have a little ankle biter, rat terrier mix I think she is, but she's spoiled. Never imagined myself owning a little ankle biter....if you hear of anyone with a chocolate or yellow puppy, keep me in mind...

I see I'm not the only one still around. I had a wonderful golden lab, she was my dad's. She became mine when he passed. She was by far the smartest dog I have ever owned. He had cancer an had his voice box removed and she would work off of his clapping his hands to her. She was the sweetest dog, she just thought she was a person.

Nothing else has happened with my babies.....Just sitting an waitin.

Robbers Cave is a nice park, we camped up there with boy scouts and repelled. It was a great weekend.

Man O Man, You folks are a bunch of chatatarians. I meant to get back on here after my trip to the kitchen to make chili but one thing led to another and another and another.

Al , We will have your wife and family in our prayers!

Hennie, Prayers for you too. "By his stripes we are healed"

Teach, No wonder those quail get biggger. It has nothing to do with Aggieville it is because you keep giving them a steady supply of Mt. Dew. I bet those quail can really fly.

I am glad stimpy got released on good behavior.

We have a half lab half Eglish setter. She is a doll. We also have a rat terrier ankle nipper. She was supposed to make a great squirrel dog but she is afraid of them. Actually she is afraid of everything.

We were at Robbers Cave last week. I didn't go to the top maybe next time.
I have missed almost two pages of posts but I don't think I can cover everything tonight. Unlike Al I 'lll wake up early because I don't have too. Now if I set my alarm then maybe I will sleep in. Weird how that works. During the week especially.

Al May be we can swap chili recipes tomorrow. I have to go to a
cardio guy on Monday. I don't think it is a big deal but I guess we'll see.
