Lil'Sooner :

Good evening everybody!!

Hello, SO what are you taking to the show this week?

Hello fellow Okies,

I had a really bad day in the chicken dept today. My wife let the flock out for some free range time, and, even though I live in the middle of Tulsa, a group of coyotes swept in and ran off with all three of my Australorps. They left my other four chickens, Production Reds, alone.

In addition to changing the free range schedule and expanding my run, I'd like to get some replacement adult laying hens that are less than a year old. I don't care if they are show quality, just need dual purpose, calm production hens.

Anybody have any for sale or know a reliable seller in the Tulsa area who does. I see some 10 month old layers on Craigslist, but I don't know who to trust when it comes to selling sick and/or old birds.

Any advice would be appreciated,

Neil in Tulsa

NeilV sorry about your loss. Those coyotes sure must have been brave to attack in the day time! Keep a check on craigslist maybe someone will list some.

I see where some one in Beggs is doing custom egg setting! Wish someone close here would. Banjo are you still setting an hatching?
