He killed my white OEGB rooster the other day.... Well not on purpose. That rooster made some gorgeous chicks but everytime you reached in the pen he was constantly flogging you. He got Carl in the hand on a vein, you would have thought he had butchered a chicken on my back steps with all the blood from Carl's hand. So Carl went out there and trimmed his spurs. I found him that night not doing so well. We brought him inside for the evening and he was dead the next morning. I think he lost too much blood and was too cold.
We have already replaced the rooster but I figure I can give carl a hard time about killing my rooster for at least another week. Just one more chicken I wanted to keep that he got rid of....LOL
In my own defenence I had to remove the rooster from my hand there was nearly 1/2 inch of spur under my skin. I did not intend to harm him however trimmed him a bit short he was more than a bit lively when put back in the pen and did mate a few of the hens after the fact. he couldn't have been that bad just the added stress and cold became too much.
