I really like the idea that could do both in the same unit.. 38 inches deep so you could get like 200+ eggs per rack..what kind of options do you have in mind,,and I really want to know more about this turner..when will you know if you get it? when you do please get some pic's posted.
and remember and help I can give..just ask

Yea I am telling you this thing is awesome really. oh yea it is huge, I made her a good offer but I fear it may be to little, she is pretty tight fisted with the purse strings but she is very nice. She was taking measurements when I was there to replace it with a new one. this one just won't cool anymore and can no longer be constantly repaired.

This turner design is rattling around in my head LOL
( no comment ). I have a 2 ft springed torsion bar that I want to rig to an old gear box, add some sort of controlled release lever on the gear box so it will just wind up and I turn a knob to control how fast it turns the racks which will be all rigged together to turn at the same time. In the end I want it to be able to crank it a few times turn the release lever and it will turn egg racks for 24 hrs.

The permit just say that i was inspected and met all the requirements. Sanitary I would assume. Eggs that are getting ready to go into the bator are kept at proper temp. Room temp. The resting area is separated from the incubator and so on. I would assume I can sell to anyone regardless of being certified. I am sure it goes back to the NPIP thing also.

Goodmorning all, I just got my first eggs in the mail, 15 RIR eggs, not a one broken, great wrapping job, eggs were individually wrapped in bubble wrap and then bagged together in bubble wrap and surrounded by wadded up news papers, in a standard priority box, I am so excited to get them in an incubator, and no I have not got mine yet, been too wet and windy to go get it where it is, maybe this weekend, going tonight to make BEER BRATTS for the POOPS!!! it is getting closer!!! huuuuurayyyyy!!! have good day and hold on to your hat Al, see ya later, Lynn

Lynn if ya want some more RIR eggs I have mine in a pen and could get you some eggs at POOPS. I also have the deleware hens in there not sure yet if they are laying.

Anyone else egg production dwindle down. I was getting anywhere from 18-26 eggs a day and got 10 day before yesterday and only 6 yesterday that one hen decided we COULD not have them with out a bloody fight. MY RIR pen laid NOTHING yesterday.

Hey ya'll. I'm kind of glad April 1 is over with. Now if only April 15 was over and April 25 was here so I could meet you all at POOPS! Gonna be FUN.

I just came in from painting the inside of the new hen house before the rain gets here. Need to build the pop door and install the litter board inside the person-door and I'll be able to move the pullets in - tomorrow I hope!

Everybody stay warm and dry today - and don't blow away!

Ok so we can assume it is the weather. Very good. Monty of course Not a problem. Got them all on the racks and letting them rest a bit on the racks. Calibrating the hydo meters right now. Had a good hatch no sticky chicks so Humidity was not the issue. I had to help alot out of the shell tho. Could have been a turning issue could have been I set the eggs in the bator as soon as I got them. I know bad thing. Here goes the next ones.
