i got loads of all kinds of babys african geese,ducks ,rir,slw,americanas an lots more of all coming.got some call ducks today 20 more muscovys an a small flock of rhode island reds an 7 white silkies i been busy busy busy
I will definitely be bringing lots of silkies to POOPS from recently hatched on up to 3 or 4 months old.
Will also be bringing lots of turkey poults!
Hatching eggs too for the hatchaholics among us!

Why was it none of my good buddies on here failed to informed me of the whole Hatching mania. I have worn out the carpet to the bator room just to see the progress every 30 min, and now the girls are into it. Good thing I have that big window to see them through. so why is it they make these little holes or big cracks and then nothing for what seems like a long time???. and is it me or what but I don't hear a thing, I can see one of them winking at me through the hole but he ain't saying much. how long is this going to take??. Day 21 starts tomorrow, so why all the activity today, there are at least a dozen eggs with big crack and some with holes, but nothing else. I do have to sleep tonight I am not staying up, big work day on monday. aarrrggghhh.

Al - I would have told you something but I have been scared to read anything you post...spider pictures? It is a blast! I gotta back up eggs to ship tomorrow! I swaped eggs! Got me a big order for eggs! Couple months worthof shipping every other week! Might actually build up a paypal account that I can buy stupid stuff with!

Al you have to understand I am a newbie to this too but basically they can pip and wait up to 24 hours before zipping an hatching. I was frantic last weekend when one had a hole but never anything else. After serching the board most everyone said not to help them. The one that was stuck in the egg for the longest ended up with something wrong with it's hip. Once they hatch they stumble around like drunk sailors until they dry, some will sleep. They look dead when they sleep. Once they are dry you can move them to the brooder, keeping it around 99-100 degrees for the first week.

Why would you want to do a silly thing like downsize...that is for quitters! besides the government is gonna take care of us and provide us with everything we need

Al - you got a deal! Only I get all mixed-up! First off I heard you are supposed to write dates down but that just seems silly to me...Much more enjoyable to chase chicks around! 1st you get a little hole...then they peck a circle...now you get the funny wet thing pops out and can't figure out what all those parts are for or where they go...this can also result in the oh no they are all dead nap sequence...it is really important to not mess with them at this point. they need to dry off and can't do that if you jack with them...if you can accomplish the not jacking with them temptation you are better than me...try and leave them alone until they are done...like a day...I never make it...really don't help them...no really...unless you are sure you need to on like day 23..or 21 which ever you can make it to
